its a snort coz their palate is far to short and it can cut of some of the airway in small dogs, not just maltese etc,...mostly boxers and cavelier king charles...i get worried if i dont hear our cavie snoring
@Vivienish Mine does it when she's sleeping, but only when she's sleeping. It's the cutest thing ever. Sometimes I like to tease her by touching it, and then she just gets up, gives me the evil eye, turns her back to me and plops back down to sleep again...lol
