Each and every song on this album seems to evoke so many pictures and visuals in the mind when I listen to it; in fact, more so than a lot of the other Floyd albums (just in my personal experience).
I have the whole show from which this was excerpted...it was released as Delicate Sound of Thunder (on VHS of course)....and yes, there is SOMETHING about Rachael Fury!!
Gary Wallis looks like such a douche bag with his 100 piece, electronic drum kit, jumping up to hit his Cymbals. I can't watch some of these videos because of him. PF's drumming is not over the top. Besides "One of These Days", Nick was very easy and kept it simple. There's nothing wrong with that.
I've had an abiding and irrational love for this band for most of my life, and this performance is great. But seriously, Mr Gilmour; these have to be some of the worst lyrics in the history of popular music!
Mr. Gary Wallis in the percussion cage, if I recall the serious mullet playing the guitar in the back is Scott Page the sax player. Fondled memories from college, amazing crew! thanks for sharing. I must go find my worn out 'Delicate Sound of Thunder' tape....
If you guys like Rachel Fury that much, simply watch the song on The Delicate Sound of Thunder VHS. There's a great slow motion capture of this gorgeous singer!*sigh*

Decent song, awful fucking lyrics and yes Gary Wallis was always unbearable during these post-waters Floyd shows.

Does anyone else think that the late 80s Floyd material was sub par? Song writing was fine, but the stage performers just ruin it for me...
ncherny 1 year ago
@ncherny It sucks! Yeah, they couldn't pull it off w/out Waters, and this song is especially horrible....

horrible effect he's using on his bass. But let it be stated; Guy Pratt is an amazing bassist and could blow the doors off of a player like me.
