Poor Maksim.... it seems that it was his knee bothering him. It's so easy to lose the edge when you're not comfortable... your body coordination is off. I just wish they didn't have to be plagued by his knee problems during the peak of their careers. They can do so much more.

This couple is my personal favorite for the 2010 Olympics, and I hope their will make a smooth comeback from the absence last year.

Linichuk and Karponosov were known for their subtle beauty--but the couples they train tend to be overly enthusiastic...

I am not sure if all the frenzy/hopping (as opposed to airy, whimsical, and springy) really shows off the beautiful skating this couple of capable of delivering.

Once again, typical D/S, way too frenetic and rushed. Quicksteps are supposed to be bouncy and effervescent and they plowed right through it.

Shame about that fall, they were doing well, though it looked like Maxim might have missed a few steps here and there.

I have to mention, that is the prettiest dress Oksana has had in ages!
