Brot2UByJT - the prob with what they are telling you in this video is you have to pick up on the dog's energy. if your dog is scared and doesn't want to move, you cannot praise the dog or enforce that nervous energy with treats or touch. you need to watch your dog and only praise him when he is a calmer state of mind. it takes a lot of patience above all and try to not SAY as much, but think to use more calm quiet body language. make sure that you end the session calmly too.
Well, my dog, gets on, gets off. When i try to pull him back, he pulls back harder. And when i turn the tredmill on, he sits down. He doesnt walk. I tried treats infront of his nose, toys everything. But he doesnt move at all. And he hates being on it. I cant walk him regularly. So this is really important D:
@jonen9494 treadmills can be a great tool. try walking a dog in over 100 degree weather! not fun for you, or the dog! its also great for rehabilitation for dogs that cannot handle vigorous exercise due to medical problems or excess weight. but yes if you plan to get a dog and "walk" it by using only the treadmill...you shouldn't own a dog.
This is the 2nd Expert Village video about using a treadmill and the dog never gets on the treadmill. OK, no help at all - in fact the dog just sits in the grass. At least the other one had the dog get on a "sofa".
