This did not quite any of my doubts of someone other than Norton playing the Hulk he is the only person who I have seen bring a quite rage to the character of Bruce Banner and all of that zen like mastery of emotions was all just to hide his anger someone so afraid of himself.

It's such an easy charater to stuff up wile many of the other roles are archetypal Bruce is so much more sutble. I still blame that director for bad mouthing Norton.

I think Ed Norton is a fantastic actor but he always seemed an odd choice to play Bruce Banner. Eric Bana really looked the part to me. But this guy....looks like he should be playing the quirky friend in a romantic comedy...not the Hulk's alter ego.

Actually I'm more worried about how the Hulk himself will look. From the poster and comments from the producer I'm scared this Hulk will be too frankenstein-ogre-ish.

personally i thought the first movie, The Hulk, was much better than The Incredible Hulk. The movie felt deeper, darker, and more true to the hulk lore. The Incredible Hulk tried to mix too much comic book stuff with the Bill Bixby potrayal of the character, which failed on more than one level. I hope Mark Ruffalo really looks at the Bill Bixby portrayal and the David Banna potrayal and finally nails the character of Bruce Banner.

@chroniclerofthe70s It really depends on which Hulk you go on.. One of the authors that wrote Hulk comics, made it to where it hurt the Hulk to think so speaking was kind of out of the question. They went with the most common Hulk, a goliath that wasn't that smart and everybody likes him best.

Both films failed on the Hulk. The Hulk is 7 feet tall, is suppose to be able to speak, and also emits low levels of gamma radiation. Both of these attributes were missed in both films.

I do miss Ed Norton's portrayel, but seriously guys, give Ruffalo a chance! Remember when Heath Ledger was cast as Joker and people initially hated the descision? Remember when countless other characters were recast that were really good in the end or kinda lame? You never know, he may surprise us and bring a much needed fleshing out of the character of Hulk/Bruce and a new take on a thinly laid franchise. Or not, but I can't tell the future can you?

Banner was a physicist, yet as a brilliant scientist, he didn't have enouph sense to wear a disguise or research a cure utilizing theoretical biophysics. These elements of Banner have so far been missed in the two Hulk films.
