I rolled a Knight a couple weeks ago. They're actually pretty fun and they give nice buffs to your party that you can switch in and out of that buff strength, toughness, resists, etc. Also coming from playing a WE, it's nice not to die so much. :P

Knights of the Blazing Sun weren't released upon launch because they weren't as good as any of the other classes (along with the Blackguard). But, December 9th, they released The Knight of the Blazing Sun/Blackguard for everyone to play as.

You guys should actually try reading the heraldry. A live event starts on the 17th, you don't get to play the classes until december. However, if you do the live event every day until the 2nd Dec (If I recall the date) will let you play the class one week earlier.

everything is awesome deadly dangerous amazing fantastic.. gimme a break. Thats the reason why the gameplay feels watered down. Everyone and their mother has the same basic bilities, it just comes down to which archetype you play and which ones you come across that determine who will win. Really the only differences are ranged vs melee lots of hps vs low hps armor vs no armor. The only ones that really come out unique are healers.

i doubt Mythic will put 250 classes that is really far fetch, I know warhammer has a lot of unit types but majority of them have a similar role. 50 is logical yet a nightmare to balance those classes.

BTW fuel its 15 factions, And out of 15 dogs of war, Ogre kingdoms, khemari, and beast of chaos are the least played in warhammer fantasy. They even if put into WaR will most likely be mobs of stuff to kill.

2 more factions are not even listed anymore, 1 was a White dwarft exclusive which were the kelisv which had a russian feel, And chaos dwarfts which were discontinued.

Four careers were cut, Knight, Dark Elf Black Guard, Dwarf Hammerer, and Orc Choppa. They were all half-built careers that they simply hadn't developed to the point where they were comfortable with the mechanics and niche that they fit in. Albeit, this did allow them to shift more focus to other aspects of game development, but it had nothing to do with lack of time. Speculation is that they will be re-introduced in future patches/expansions, but Mythic hasn't made any promises.

I think the reason they would never drop the warrior priest is because they are THE iconic figure for the empire, even though in the table top game they're only marginally effective. I just hope they don't end up being a white-bread paladin archetype. The knights do seem very right for the game though.

Personally, I don't like the fact the Empire and Dark Elves DO NOT HAVE A PLAYABLE TANK CLASS. Also, the Dwarves and BOTH Greenskin races are without Melee DPS classes. This is lame. BUT, the most lame of all this is the fact that If you desire to play an Orc, theres just 1 class you can choose from whereas the Goblins have two..

High elves though have almost every, good tank class, Swordmasters, very good Archmages, Shadow warrios which totally kick ass, and white lions which just kick everybodies ass. if you want to know more, just ask and i can tell you why the high elves are pretty good (chaos are cool too but i like the Asur, high elves, better)

You know, I read there was A rumor Mythic thought of delaying WAR yet again, possibly to january of 09 due to the 4 classes not being ready and the 4 other major recial cities not being ready. But, instead of delaying the game again, they just decided to launch with 2 major cities and 4 less classes.. Honestly, I'd rather see them release the game now then have to wait another 5 months.. They'll probably add those 4 classes and perhaps the cities by then though..

I think this game will be very good. The PvP looks Awsome and the graphics are better than WoW. Will this be the game that draws attention for WoW...we can only hope because 2years of WoW I'm alittle tired myself.
