@MisterJamieLawson the whole point of making a film after a game is to portray the game. yeah they dont have to be perfect but all the movies are centered around a pseudo-character called alice. the first movie and the second were at best okay, after those two the 3 and the 4 were horrible having nothing to do with the games. its people like you who are ok with crap movies so they keep making them. also the only reason alice is in the movies is because the director is her boyfriend.

@lostsanityreturned yeah the acting sucks, but i don't think the effects are that bad (make up and prosthetics at least). The hand to hand combat scenes are awful but i mostly enjoy how the story revolves around simple run-of-the-mill zombies. I think the games took the amount of viruses far too far to the point you kind of didn't care, you were gunna shoot them anyway. We're all gunna end up watching the next one anyway :)

@QoMSoL I just think the films give the resident evil name/ and capcom, a bad reputation from a players perspective Although I guess for capcom it was a good move to keep their company going and to help raise profits, but a nice percentage of the people who have seen the films don't even know about the games, and with that being said, sony takes a nice big chunk out of the profits made by the films, and the only thing capcom gets is recognistion from the players of the games,

@QoMSoL Hmm, I suppose I have over reacted, but capcom would of sold the rights to produce the movie. The only thing about these films that annoys me, is how further from realistic they're moving, I fell in love with resident evil because of the scientific side of things Chemicals and potions etc... It's alot more realistic to think everything started out in the lab, but the las plagas in the films doesn't make sence unles you play the game first.

What difference would it make if the zombies in the movie were with mouth tentacles or 3 meters high with a giant axe (they mention mutations in the movie quite often)? My guess is none whatsoever. I mean you'd surely go "WTF?!" during the movie but would forget it the next moment. And well yeah, it goes a little "x-men" now but sure is better than a mansion or Raccoon city'd be all over again and 5 times in a row.
