I also think he wanted to be speak with soft voice and quitely not to be too intimidating, it's not about fooling, everyone does that and it's very natural voice to him. Voice gets deeper even in your later years. His soft voice is sexy too, I love it.
I'vs been very shy since I can remember, So I understand about voice levels lol. When your around a lot of people and your uncomfprtable your voice is very low you can't realy help it, it just happens and then when your in a comfprtable situation with people you know, you feel more at ease and you speak out a little louder and more clearly.
I have taking notice over the years as to how Michael can and have changed his voice from soft to deep. I think that soft side comes out when he's shy and bashful and the deep comes out when he's sure and confident. Either way, I love his voice no matter which one he puts on. It all sounds goooood to me. I will continue to love, support, defend and be a true fan to MJ til my dying days.
