originally played late Wigan by Richard Searling. Awesome tune from the west coast Motown writing trio. Strange how this on a Rydal PA label (Sandy Wynns also) was produced by Marc Gordon and Frank Wilson so most definitely a west coast recording.
Great tune... A lot of influences are going on here, which is probably why this is such a well liked and sought after 45. The vocal group sounds a lot like Motown's Rayber Voices. A little doo wop, a little big production pop, and a lot of soul. GREAT record!
