This performance of "Broken Dream" is absolutely captivating. I could hear it over and over again and never get tired of it. If someone were to ask me which song is my most favorite of Justin's, I would have to say the one I am listening to at that moment.

Three things...1) when you can do songs live with the same performance quality as in the studio you are a truly great musician...2) I didn't realize how good and soulful a guitar player Justin was...3) someday hopefully long from now, I'd like this song to be played at my funeral.

Words cannot Describe the feelings I had when I saw them Live in 2009 in St Louis M.O. I took my little sister with me and she started crying when they played the songs she hasn't heard in years. I saw this concert first on PBS a couple of years ago and this song blew me away--sounded so much like a song from the Moody Blues "classic seven" that it almost brought tears to my eyes. Just needs a touch of Mike Pinder's mellotron!
The quality of this video(sound)is outstanding. But Justin and the Moodies are true professionals. This song is beautiful. Justin is special in the sense that he has written text and music for most of his songs. Justin is the best singer-songwriter of The Ages.
There aren't too many other composers this guy doesn't make look like jingle writers in comparison. We're truly blessed to be in the same time period as this craftsman. If there is a God, he put this guy here for a reason. This isn't just the luck of the draw.
Who would like to support me to get The Moody Blues, i.c. Justin Hayward honoured by a NOBEL MUSIC PRIZE in 2009?? If support for my initiative is substantial, I'd like to spend quite some hours to realize that dream. I know there are a lot of women who are in love with Justin & the Moodies. However, I must tell you that a lot of us guys find their music speaks to & for us.
I was introduced to them back in the early 70s by a girlfriend (Yes! We made out to them in the basement - candles & incense & all). Their music is the best thing I took away from that relationship.

I saw this concert first on PBS a couple of years ago and this song blew me away--sounded so much like a song from the Moody Blues "classic seven" that it almost brought tears to my eyes. Just needs a touch of Mike Pinder's mellotron!

The quality of this video(sound)is outstanding. But Justin and the Moodies are true professionals. This song is beautiful. Justin is special in the sense that he has written text and music for most of his songs. Justin is the best singer-songwriter of The Ages.

Who would like to support me to get The Moody Blues, i.c. Justin Hayward honoured by a NOBEL MUSIC PRIZE in 2009?? If support for my initiative is substantial, I'd like to spend quite some hours to realize that dream. I think they deserve such an honour because of their top class music for decades and more than one generation.

Since sixties ,I'm fond of Justin Hayward ; His lyrics are more than words ;A deep poetry! It was difficult to share my passion , because in France , people where often dancing on this music...I CONSIDER the texts of Justin need real listening and respect. Above the uproar of many musics! I agree ... he is a true gentleman, never too busy to stop for a few minutes to sign autographs and talk to fans. There is also no one else who can portray heartache in a song quite as well as Justin, and I will never tire of hearing "Broken Dream." Justin won't either -- he has said it's his favorite non-Moody Blues solo album song.
