For those who think this is western propaganda. Al-Jazeera also made a documentary on this or do you consider this propaganda as well. If so, how come so many people try to escape N. Korea? And all the docus here on YT are false propaganda? The west has it's own problems but if you believe that N.Korea is the socialist paradise you either are paid to censor and spread propaganda. Or you just should go there, watch the almost empty main city and then see the misery on the countryside

Or we become like them. If ever there comes a time of freedom for the north korean people. We should not punish everyone. That will only cause a circly of violence and hatred. We need only to punish those in charge, those who put out the orders.

It is hard to forgive, and more, much more than such people deserve but we must be strong enough to be better than they are. That is the only way that we can show them how wrong they are/were.

In the case of North Korea, Kim Jung Il and his regime have simply taken to an extreme the same forms of oppression that are inherent in any totalitarian system. And the regimes of Stalin and Mao were every bit as evil as Kim Jung Il's- in fact, it was Soviet and Chinese military aid that enabled Kim Il Sung to seize control of North Korea in the first place.

@arafel1964 I'd say North Korea is the very worst country in the world to live in. Probably the closest in terms of general horribleness would be Zimbabwe (i.e. it's both extremely poor economically and also has an oppressive government at the same time). Remember that as bad as places like Somalia and Afghanistan are, anarchy still is better than having your every move watched AND being poor at the same time.

@guefan1 lol, I live very sober, I'm a vegan (I don't eat or use animalproducts) so I would never go to McDonals and I'm not American I dón't watch tv often and also get my news from Al Jazeera. Even they say that N.Korea is 1 of the worst dictators country. If it was such a paradise how come that more and more people try to escape it?
