I have a HUGE PROBLEM: I bought & installed Broken Steel...And..I STILL GET THIS LONE WANDRER'S DEATH ending!

i even MADE A NEW GAME AND COMPLETED THAT ONE, but that didnt work either..Please, if you know whats going on tell me how to get this working..Unless you have bad Karma ;P

I never got any " 2 weeks later. " And i checked " DLC " and it says " Fallout 3 Broken steel " and its supposed to activate by itself. So, Someone..If you know the Cure to this problem please Help me out :/

This game is awesome...I never had this ending...I already have done 2 different ones. But the endings differs slightly...

Its an absolutely incredible game...so sad story mode is short...and game is really impressive by its side quests...

i destroyed the enclave president ( big ass computer ai) and then at the ending i has that friendly super mutant with me and i made him go in the chamber and put in the code. I LIVED! happy happy ending!

If you're talking about endings there are supposedly 200+ endings to this game. Every action you take during the game effects what ending you get, albeit i don't see how a small action impacts the ending much.

I admit, it is disappointing, and the abruptness of dieing *plopping on the floor* surprised most gamers. I had expected an end cinematic where you die, honorably, riddled with mini-gun holes and shotgun shells from Super Mutants. But no, you just fall to the ground. I just don't get this ending and how it plays out. I load up on Rad-X and get an awesome radiation suit, get 1 rad/sec, and I still die. Why can't she open the damn door again? There are not "hundreds of endings". The ending follows a very set pattern, and cut and pastes scenes depending on three things (so technically there are 12 endings, but no one would care to see them all because they're just different combinations):

if you sacrifice yourself or not

if you choose to listen to the computer

For everyone planning on getting this game. Don't finish the main quest right off the bat. If you plan to keep playing then roam around and when your ready to quit, finish the main quest. There is no continue at the end.

After having done the maths and checked out the endings in the PC versions files, I'd say there's considerably less than that, and it's not unique endings even then, it's just a mixture of a few different slides, it's nowhere near 200(what you say) nor 500(which Bethesda claimed).

Besides the endings are shit compared to the previous games, good thing the actual game itself is fun though.

At first I hated this ending, but after thinking about it, I realized that the character at least redeemed himself in the end (with this version anyway) and now can spend eternity with his mother and father, though I wish I knew what happened to his or her friend in Vault 101.

I really hope that there is a straight up 'happy" ending that you can get that doesn't involve a heroic sacrifice. This one was good for my Kamina expy, but not so much for any other characters that I may want to make.

Oh, and they shoulda gone through and told what happens to all the settlements afterwards, unless they are planning sequel-DLC of some kind.

yeah, i didnt expect it to end like that, if i'd had known that was the last mission i woulda saved, cuz there was so much shit i didnt get to do, i only reached level 19. but still, i thought it was a pretty good ending. and btw, from the moment you get into the room where project purity is and u meet that colonel dude, there's like three diferent things you can do to affect the ending, so who knows what other stuff has an impact on the ending. overall though, great game!
