@AndrewMarron I didn't buy it specifically for fear they might do that. What did they change? The total package delivery of the original in terms of battle mechanics, art, story, music, exploration, and just sheer fun is on par with that of FF VII. This game really has a spot in my heart.

But with the new cast of voice actors it just feels like a different game, and the added cut scene's, characters having extra voice time and their face plastered on the screen just doesn't do it for me. The should have released it with an option of playing the original version. Although I can understand why. Just play it mute and alls good!

Look up FF12 videos...Alot of people liked the game, not to mention it having the hardest boss ever.
honestly i have nothing against FF12 but it just didnt 'feel' like a final fantasy to me..maybe because it was 'different' but it was still good...just not what i expected from a final fantasy game and all of those things you said are true, the characters were also uinteresting compared to previous characters in the series, balthier stood out though, he was ok. i watched alot of FF12 videos and all the challgnes, also whats with there only being 1 water spell? no watera, waterga? they forget it?

Relina did have a long dress and barely showed any skin unlike now with the mini skirts and big chests. I have not watched much of gundam 00 but i have seen some of the female there so i know what you are talking about but i also dont know the names, i cant remember the names well, my memory isnt as good as i would like. lol... I dont think it does, this game started off nice but whent on a bit of a downfall where you where running about catching dragons for 10 + hours, its an awesome game and i loved it but it doesent compare to FF7, Chrono cross, Xeno Saga... Graphicly maybe lol
huh what dragons you talking about? the only dragons i can think of are ashtons and that didnt take 10+ hours...usaully it just takes 2 hours (which is nothig compared to some of things you have to do in FF7 chasing yuffie ect) and i actually like SO2 better than FF7, the story was too generic and same with the characters and i would say it equal with chrono cross and xenosaga, just excels in different ways entirely.
I remember playing this game. It was a good time, but I dropped it for some reason...probably because of schooling, and when I finally did have the time to play again, I was already stuck on another game. *sigh* along with so many other games, need to pick this back up in the future.

yes but you did have to chase her a little bit in wutai to get your stuff back...but yeah most rpgs are pretty horrid , the storys are very lacking and only rely upon the graphics to get people to buy them only to find out that they arent good. it doesnt make any sense to play an rpg just because of the graphics. look at FF12, graphics are GREAT but the story sucks, why cant they even them both out???
