Actually, the concept of elves, dwarves, gnomes etc came from the norse myths. But some things like Orcs and Goblins came from tolkien. Let's face it, fantasy will never be original, unless you go really out of your way to be original and come up with extremely bizarre races, like WoW's Draenei.

Yes Warcrafts lore has several thing copied from Warhammer. Apparently Warcraft: Orcs & Humans was planned to be a Warhammer game, but it didn't work out. However, GW has copied much of its Warhammer lore from other fantasy settings, even more so in Warhammer 40K.

Warcraft:Orcs and humans was first ment for Warhammer,and the chief of Games workshop didn't like the game and made an end to their contract with the creators of the game and they broke off and released the game under the name Warcraft,since they didnt think it would ever be succesfull,but it was a huge succes.Anyway War is so much different than WoW, but you'll never know.

Mythic knows that more people will not play in a world populated with healbots. It makes actually playing a healer and buffing character horrible for the people who actually want to play these characters on a 'live' basis. It is one of the difficulties faced in latter day Doac. The people who won't play without a healbot are far outnumbered by the people who will actually get to play the game and stay..

Yeah, Mythic does know that, hense the solution on DAoC classic servers with buff range effects therefore rendering buffbots useless. As far as healing bots, if you're in RvR and you get rolled by some guy with a Healbot you're an idiot. DI was the onl way to make that practical in DAoC otherwise they could be easily killed unless the god is godly and can move both characters. I wouldn't concern mysely with it.
