Hey listen people. If you're true metalheads. You listen on the shit you like not what you hate. Personally, I would say that I dislike the majority of Deathcore bands. Only a few really stand out to me like Carnifex, Job For A Cowboy and Oceano. That's all. Other than I love pure Death Metal. Old School, Brutal & Technical \m/ So please my brothers, stop bitching about things you hate and start praising the stuff you like!
@ixsetf Ah, that depends on your definition of a douchebag. :) If you're a faggot who goes to Deathcore videos or Justin Bieber videos just to TROLL all the time or to put out hate messages out on YouTube videos, predominantly Death Metal ones, then obviously you are a Metalhead who is tried and true
Incantation é foda. Quem não gosta não sabe o que é uma verdadeira banda de metal extremo. Hail seguidores do metal extremo. Quanto a quem não gosta: só tenho a lamentar. Valeu!
@cockybalboa2 I think the only reason I said Dying Fetus is because I was blanking on the other bands. I think it was the intro that reminded me of them though, after that it was all Incantation. \m/
McEntee is a fucking good guitarist ...another classic album by this killer band. The fact that none of their album suck speaks more than a million words!
@larsevald There are modern non-poser death metal bands. I mean, there's...um, Scar Symmetry, Dew-Scented, new Job For A Cowboy, Aborted, Kataklysm, Arch Enemy, Dethklok (yes, they're a real band), and Illdisposed.
@YTisMyPlaylist No they don't. Ruination was pretty good. And I didn't put Funebrarum, Decapitated, or Nile because I've never heard of Funebrarum, I still haven't gotten my Decapitation album, and I don't really care about Nile nowadays, since I have a lot more death metal to catch up on, like Hour of Penance, Entombed, and, of course, Incantation!
@mcg413 blow job for a cow boy is horrible man, arch enemy and aborted are pretty good, look up Morbid Saint, they are more thrashy but it is really badass, and Death is the greatest band of all time!!
@xXxBuLLeTxXx1 Job For A Cowboy's early deathcore sucked, but not Ruination. Ruination brought more technicality, more brutality, and less suckality to the plate. Search a shit load of reviews for the album, and I guarantee that there will be fewer unfavorable reviews than good ones.
P.S. Death is not the greatest band of all time. There is no definite "best band of all time". I believe they're one of the best in death metal, metal, and music in general, but not the absolute best.
@mcg413 You can give your opinion all you want but the fact of the matter is that when you use the term "deathcore" your opinion becomes invalid and laughable.
@huludicidal How does it become invalid? Deathcore is a real term, and it does sound different from death metal. And it is also the subgenre in metal with the most haters and shitty bands. For example, BMTH's early stuff, JFAC's early stuff, and Dr. Acula. But, there are a few gems in the subgenre that you can't overlook. They're the ones who made deathcore sound different from death metal. Those would be Oceano, The Contortionist, The Agonist, Despised Icon, and Suicide Silence.
@mcg413 A perfect example that you can relate to is the band "The Faceless". Their first record, Akeldama, is typical "deathcore", a bunch of one note, super slow breakdowns in most of the songs. Their second album, Planetary Duality, is a true death metal album and is solid the whole way through.
@huludicidal Heard 'em, and so far, I like them, but to bad them and Belphegor couldn't play at House of Blues, which is weird considering Meshuggah got to play. But anyway, what else ya got?
@mcg413 Try out any of Death's later albums, Human, Individual Thought Patterns, or Symbolic. Dissection's Storm Of The Light's Bane is a great, groovy black metal album with some thrash influence. If you're looking for good, true metal don't hesitate to search "top 100 extreme metal albums" or something like that, you'll find some lists with some solid bands.
Check out Municipal Waste for some groovy as hell crossover thrash. I bet you'd like Poison The Well's "The Opposite Of December" also.
@huludicidal Heard Death's Human and Symbolic (AWESOME!!), but I do have Dissection's Storm of the Light's Bane, Individual Thought Patterns. and Poison The Well's The Opposite of December. I've heard at least one song from each except for ITP, and from just those, I can honestly say I should really listen to them.
@huludicidal Also, I forgot to mention. I'm not a metal noob who only limits himself to one specific subgenre or one sound. Like old In Flames. I like In Flames old AND new, and no one will change my mind about that.
@mcg413 You're cool man, to each his own. I just seriously dislike that whole subgenre and I feel it's a poppy bastardization of metal mostly catering to a generation who not only doesn't know any better but care to, either.
@huludicidal The sad part is that the best bands of the subgenre are mostly ignored, while the more average and subpar become the most known and popular, but, they look like they're changing their ways. Dr. Acula's newest album is pretty good, (awesome when comparing it with their previous work), JFAC learned with Ruination, and BMTH learned with the new album (whose name is too long to type for me to care).
@YTisMyPlaylist I hope you didn't forget Behemoth in their modern day...they are good musicians but still happen to keep it brutal. It's pretty much what we have left in this day and age. Besides the slew of old school bands kicking ass. But then again. Behemoth has been around for along time, started off as your typical black metal, and then matched this brutality in their own way.
@larsevald which bands do you mean? like metalcore and numetal? cause there are modern death metal bands which are fucking unbeliable, like nile and necrophagist,
@larsevald If anything, you're just as bad as the "poser shit bands". Both sides just cannot accept the fact that there is different generations of metal.
@MrCatFetish It's exactly what Glam Metal and Nu Metal were. Stupid Sub-Genres that were popular for a while then die out. Tell me what Solid Glam Metal or Nu Metal bands keep supplying the fans with constant, solid releases year after year? I'm sure for every 1 band we can find 20 Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Black Metal or even Power Metal bands which do it better. Deathcore and Metalcore is only a non metal trend that will die like the others did.
Instead of responding "deathcore is shit" like everybody else, let me say this from a more mature and respective point of veiw. Deathcore does not appeal to me, and I simply do not like it. I don't hate it, It's just not my thing. And I don't think it ever will be. In my personal opinion, I find Death metal much better.
