I could be wrong, but I believe it and the motel set are in the same place they always were. It's just harder to tell it's on a hill from the angle it's approached on this walking tour. Also there's now other stuff closer to it than there used to be.

Just curious, why do you think Knott's Scary Farm is better than HH? i went to Scary Farm for the first time this year and there wasnt too much to do, the scaring thing got old fast. Definitely don't mean to try to sound like a tough guy, i'd just like to know why you prefer it over HH.

Hmm. Well, HHN has more professional and realistic crasftsmanship in the mazes, better makeup, and often better acting from the monsters, but I don't think any of the other Halloween theme park events has quite the sense of fun or variety of experience that Knott's has. Knott's has way more mazes than anyone else, with some fun themes, does Halloween theming of (a couple of) their rides in a way that no other parks do, and has a wide variety of shows on top of that.

Knott's also has the best environments for creepy scare zones. And I just like how much relish the monsters often show for their jobs at Knott's. At HHN the "scareactors" sometimes seem more like they're just performing a role, rather than having a blast getting to scare (or tantalize, in the case of some of the female monsters) people as their job. I just think Knott's did it first, and does it best.

I still love HHN, though, and the Queen Mary Shipwreck event has some great elements as well (though it's even more lacking in the fun factor, especially outside the mazes). Not sure how Fright Fest at Six Flags compares, since though I almost made it there for the first time this year, the trip unfortunately had to be cancelled.

The 2006 visit was a huge dissapointment. Knotts Halloween Haunt is still 50 times better than Universal, and I'm a fan and annual pass holder to Universal! The Asylum maze was good, but everything else was a let down.

Usually I would have, but thanks to some idiot's customized truck catching on fire on the approach to the parking garage, I was delayed for hours getting into the park (e.g. 2 full hours just to travel the last mile!), and once I finally got in I had less than an hour and a half before closing to catch as much as I could, so I was rushing the whole night.
