  • Christopher Walkins SOOOO needs to do a cover of this song... Love it! Dr. Demento forever...

  • almost as good as nirvana covering miley cyrus' classic smells like teen spirit.

  • covering the fugs= WIN

  • Sugar Kiper reminds me that i like Boobs.....ALOT!!!

  • Got to like boobsalot!

  • I need this song as a ring tone

  • what turd burglars disliked this?

  • Yeah, I learned it from Demento, too, Red. I turned around and taught it to my high school tennis team. Made those bus rides bearable.

  • I prefer the Fugs version, but this is one of those works of art that will transcend no matter who is performing it.

  • I never missed the Doctor on KOME. Steve Weber of The Holy Modal Rounders and sometimes The Fugs (when he fuggin felt like it I guess) wrote this and first recorded it with the afore mentioned Fugs. (pretty sure of this, in 64 or 65. Guess I could go check this on the web but we harvested a week ago so...) Anyway, I like THMR's version.

  • I loved Dr. Demento. He da man. I first heard this in the eighth grade in

1973. My brother and I made Dr. Demento converts out of our whole

    school.

  • Man... haven't heard this in YEARS

  • @redletterchurch... Dr D was from 6pm till 10pm on sunday night on KMET

  • @chefbard It's really sad to think in 1987 KMET-the innovator in album oriented rock

became the Wave-blasphemous. A friend of mine once refered to the Wave as

    "yuppie bullshit."

  • Haven't heard this in over 34 years. Was thinking about boobs alot and... WTF?

  • How this got radio airplay I'll never know...

  • @alshouse The reason KMET got away with it is because no one complained to either station

management or the FCC. Besides, no one in the Dr.'s audience was going to complain.

  • This song was on one of my Dr. Demento albums. I laughed every time I heard it. Still do! :)

  • If i had a fagalong?

  • @redneck6310 If I had a flag-a-long,

    (If I had a flag-a-long.)

    If I had a long flag-a-long,

    If I had a long flag-a-long,

If you like boobs a lot, tag along

  • @jermico007 <---tard

  • fuck mozart, this is the best song ever written.

  • @harveydeadman You speak truth my friend!

  • @LBurris597 ha, I was singing this song all day, and here we are!!!

  • Originally on Metromedia records released to radio stations before the real emergence of progressive rock stations.a true cult classic

  • I blastthis song in my truck. bst ever, got called dwon to the principals office the next day cause of it, n he let me go, cause he liked the song. LOL

  • always think of the FUGS when I hear this

  • Not man boobs

  • Their all around :) hahah

  • It was the first "#1 Most Requested Song of the Week" on Dr. demento's first syndicated show, circa July 1974. It was recorded in 1971, and bubbled under in February 1974.

  • @djdavemick I first heard this song on Dr Demento!

  • Anyone notice that under the amusing lyrics, there are some very talented musicians?

  • I used to hear it on WGTB ,in D.C, about.0 years ago !

  • FYI, Before they were The Holy Modal Rounders, they were The Fuggs. Their album, "It Crawled Into My Hands, Really!" has the outrageous "Constipation Blues"

  • @DocGTVT No, they just joined the

    Fugs.

  • Doctor Demento Show

Little bit of Heaven 94.7 KMET Tweedeldee

    Now it is the Wave.

KRTH The Wave both sould the same bad

  • When I heard Dr. D play this song in 1971-'72, his show was 4 hours long, every Sunday night on KMET 94.7 FM from 6 to 10 pm

  • A true Dr D classic!!! Thanks for posting!

  • My buddies and me used to get drunk and make prank calls to Ron Clay and Terry Meiners show on qmf (LRs before that) and they use to put us on the radio

  • BEST DEMENTO SONG EVAH!

  • Fugs' version is better

  • No Way! This is the best version.

That's why Dr. D played it all the time.

  • My favorite Dr. Demento show song

  • There was a radio show in Louisville, KY that always opened up with this when they came on at 5:30 in the morning. It was "The Show With No Name" on 95.7 WQMF. It was back in the 80's. Pretty funny stuff. One person from it, Ron Clay, died of Cancer in the late 90's I think. The other, Terry Meiners, is a mainstay in Louisville on 840 WHAS radio in the afternoons (although I think he is sort of mailing it in now). This tune brings back some good memories.

  • Remember it well. Ron Clay, Terry Meiners, Troy Roebuck, Barry Harmon, Jamie Douglas, Mel, Duke Meyer, Future Bob and all the characters like Fireman Ed, Frosty the Clown, Red, The Bone Brothers( space, it be the final frontier and it be dark too), Beaver Bits, Jack Nicholson, The Knerd Brothers and many more. I met Ron Clay and he was nothing like the character on the radio. Hell of nice guy. Those were the good old days. Nothing like today. Google WAKY and find the link to WQMF . Good stuff

  • John Waters used this song in A Dirty Shame.

  • Lmao, boobs. xD

    Gotta love it!

  • I used to love hearing this song on the Doctor Demento Show in Los Angeles. It was on Sunday nights(I think), and was an hour long. All the music was crazy like this. It was fun.

  • @redletterchurch I miss Doctor Demento!

  • this was one of the most FUN songs to sing

along to when i was a teen. i still love it.

  • I Lik3 BQQBS

  • I LIK3 BQQBS A LØT TQQ.
