@solidturd666 they made it because back then they thought if they continued with the same killer and story the franchise would collapse just like the freddy and jason as time went on. so the tried to change the franchise so it would be more like tales from the crypt and the twilight zone, same subject but a different story every time. because the movie was panned by critics, they decided to return Micheal myers just so it could end up like freddy and jason.

cuz the bugs are caused by witch craft , which is transmitted to the USA by part of a stone circle. On every mask there is one of those circular chips (shown in the clip) which mashed peoples heads and turns them into bugs.
