  • I never got into Jimmy's playing on his albums but I have to say, wow. Everyone mis-labels Jimmy Bruno as a pure virtuosic uptempo player. I now see the light and it's full toned and earthy. That pickig technique helps, I'm still going through his picking book and it has helped me tremendously. Thanks Jimmy, if you ever decide to play with Larry Golding down at Smoke and revamp that organ trio stuff I'll be in the audience.

  • Wonderfully in the groove. I also like Jimmy Bruno's guitar. Are they ever going to be available in England?

  • Music for grownups, ahhh....

  • "There is no greater love" is the real name of the song

  • @vividorrrr The "real" name is indeed Big Shoes by Jimmy Bruno. It is, however, based on the changes of "No Greater Love", just as Oleo is based on the changes of "I've got rythmn".

  • It's a beautiful Sunday morning having a cup of coffee and came across this video. Perfect way to start the day, enjoying the sound of two great guitarist that really play off each other. Thanks for the post !

  • are you sure this is the right tittel for this tune??how about "There Is No Greater Love" regards

  • You're half right : )....they start on "There is no..", then,in the bridge switch over to" Big Shoes" which is Jimmy's tune based on "No Greater" chord changes.

  • I remember when Joe Beck was a top session ace back in the '70's.

  • Beautiful !! : ))))))

  • Joe Beck is a maniac

  • who wouldn't like grandpops like jimmy and joe,

  • Those are some nice sounding guitars that sound even nicer when played by pickers at this level.

  • Those my friend are Benedetto Guitars, and they certainly do sound great, best in the biz

  • Hi Sean , Jimmy is playing his signature Sadowsky arctop and Joe is playing a Martin archtop designed by Dale Unser of American Archtops . The both can make anyting sound great though !

    Frank D.

  • OOps!, you're right..couldn't see the inlays on the headstocked so i just assumed;)

  • Joe Back's sound more electric than Jimmy.

  • Great playing, great guitars!

  • R.I.P. Joe
