  • ULTra prt at heathrow is better

  • Passengers still need to wear seat belts?

  • a Asian..hah who new

  • @braveofsavne what you think swedes are tall blonds?

  • more more more~~~~~

  • To be honest, ULTRa's look more cool and there are some real tracks already existing in the World. I think that swedes just dream, but don't have enough resources or will to develop a system, othervise they would have something that London has for almost 8 years, haha. :)

  • @Diablo419 Yup, and ULTra doesn't need to stay on rail tracks :D

  • Oh great! The trainmanagers and the drivers become unemployed and have more time for their families! Wonderful!

  • @MsNicolai89 Well at least no one will die in an accident caused by a texting driver.

  • One last thought, every single day, these PRT Pods will need maintenance and upkeep for safety and cleanliness. They'll need cleansing with chemicals and pressure washers to prevent disease. baby diapers, human waste, mucus, saliva, blood, & vomit, can all be a problem. There has to be a way to schedule each car to go to the warehouse for a daily upkeep. If a passenger notices a car has been abused, you'll need to install a Service Now Button which automatically sends it to the maintenance shop.

  • Don't get me wrong. I love PRT. I'm all for clean quick environmentally sound technology. PRT has a great future! These are merely concerns of mine never addressed before. Another concern is sending surplus cars to high volume areas at peek traffic hours, such as Schools, Factories, Office Complexes, and Mega Shopping areas such as Walmart. Those places will require a sophisticated volume tracking & replenishing system to ensure passengers never have to wait. Warehousing & Pod Standby is needed.

  • Security and tracking technology in which I commented can already been seen in motor vehicles with services such as ONSTAR and LOJACK. You could add these technologies to make your corporate and municipal customers and their riders secure. ONSTAR tracks a stolen car by GPS, then automatically and remotely disables it via a signal sent from it's control center. A similar system could have your Pods lock a reported criminal inside and remotely drive to a police station or an awaiting police car.

  • If you were to implement toll payment by card swiping. Then, also make available Customer PIN number key pad kiosks for those passsengers whom forgot to bring their membership cards. They could just punch in their personal security number and then proceed to the pod car. City goverments will need to run Public Service Ads that educate riders to never share rides with strangers. Thus preventing criminals from forcing them into dangerous stops in which they did not intend on going.

  • @garydunncolumbusga you really think they will make $20 million a mile stops into gang or high crime areas? No one is going to spend that kind of money on places the police wont even go.

  • Thumb prints + pin would be better.

  • More realistic forms of toll payment would be to swipe annual member cards to ensure swift entry. With Point-of-Sale payment as an option at security checks. Also, have security pin numbers to ensure members are authorized. Suburban gated communities will protest having made their safe havens opened up to unknown elements. Therefore, just like punching in key codes at your subdivision's gate, you can punch in a security pin number into the Pod Car before it let's you proceed into the gated zone.

  • The next phase for your project should be to implement personal security. GPS indentification of Pods and their location must be used to thwart criminal activity. Pods could be made to be locked down and delivered via a master control override to a police holding station. Also, sharing cars is dangerous because a gang member may ask to share a ride, signal cohorts by cell phone to get in position, then punch in his destination which forces you to stop in front of his awaiting thugs to mug you.

  • I AM SO PISSED OFF! So pissed off!!! USA is SO far behind. :'( Kudos to Sweden.

  • Looks nice. How fast is it going?

  • @totoroben They said it in the video, at the test track it travels at 45km/h

  • very very very nice!!!!!!!!
