Could you explaine me with did that station master point to his right and to his left? BTW, you´re so lucky to live in a country where people train is really respected and for end, nice vid as always!
As far I know it's a visual representation of them observing the safety of the platform. As you might notice, in the distance another station master is doing the same. If I'm correct the do it when a train enters a station and when it leaves the station.
In Osaka I have seen 5 of them doing it at the same time, kinda funny to observe if you are an outsider.
