  • whats the dif between the sx and kx?

  • @hollywoodcandids as far as i know they are the same. the sx is sold in the US and the kx is sold in Europe i think.

  • hey man this is awesome. i just have one thing that might help you. your grip and your attack seem very stiff.most of the work should be done by the small muscles in your hands and fingers. you seem to be using a lot of wrist and forearm. if you work on that youll get a lot faster in no time and more consisten. have a good one

  • perfect!

  • @15381472 - thanks a lot, man :)

  • not bad, you seem a little stiff though..

  • good performance but i think u need more practice.

  • (Gasp! )

  • yahh the issue with the neighbour is a problem thts y i need to pick up an electronic set

  • thanks ..what would u recommend to a beggginer not willing to go over 600

  • I would probably pick up a used acoustic or electronic set or go with an entry level acoustic (they are cheaper than electronic sets, assuming noise is not an issue for your neighbors).

  • @lukeycharms123 I'd go and save up for any cheap electric kit, but I reccomend going with Rolands TD-4K, as electric kits last very long, while acoustic kits (Like the cymbals and skins) break constantly and doesnt sound very good before you go into expensive kits, while most electric kits replicate the sound of a "perfect" acoustic kit.

I have owned the Roland HD-1 for 3 years, and it havent even shown any sign of being worn out! Now that im semi-pro, I wanted a better kit like my TD-9KX

  • @LagBlock Cymbals and skins dont break all the time. I've had the set of ziljian A's for 6 years and they have seen some serious use. Cymbals on break due to bad technique and those cheap sets of cymbals you buy for $100~. i've a;so only had to replace 1 skin on my and that was my snare skin (which was a cheap pearl skin i had for 2 years until it ripped)

  • heey man this awsome!! how much was this sett??

  • Thanks Lukey! I think I got it for around $2100 on eBay, but i had to watch the auctions for a week or two. If you don't shop you can pay up to $2700. The amp/monitor is extra.

  • Sweet! You upgraded to the TD-9, they sound great. BTW you spin your stick counter clockwise like myself, most drummers go clockwise. 5/5

  • High praise indeed coming from you. I love all your covers! BTW i never even realized most drummers spin the other way.

  • Good job!

  • lol, can't stop watching :-) i like the new drumkit :-) good to hear there are so manny triggers on the pads/cymbals. but right now, i'm saving up for a new stereo, as i have mine so long, and is just stereo instead of surround :-) keep n rocking, hope to hear some more of your new drumvideo's soon !

  • Well i'm sure you will love the sound when you get your new sterero, MM.

  • yes indeed. but i'm afraid i need a new pc first. somehow i can't upload my new drumvideo :-( right afther uploading, it keeps on hanging. even after filling in all the info, it just keeps haning. if i close the browser, and reopen it, i see a broken video in the video list. i will try formatting the pc next weekend, but if that does not help, i'm afraid i have to use my savings for a pc first.

  • That's annoying. Technology is great when it works, aggravating when it doesn't.

  • yeah, i am even considering to get me a apple computer. but i wonder if my other hardware will be compatible with it. i guess i just have to go to a apple store and ask :-)

  • WOW ! now all your tom's are V-drums ! nice and quiet ! wish they would also use that material on the cymbal pad's, as the mechanic noice of the cymbals are still rather loud.

ps: i've got the same problem with my camera ! can't edit it on movie maker.....

  • nice and speedy song ! and this on your new kit. i bet if you get used to the layout of the kit, you will be even more smooth, and this run went really good allready :-D

i saw you choking the crash at the end, so just one more question for this kit: does the snarre has a rim shot ? or do you have to select a different drumkit just like with the hd-1 ?

  • You're right about getting used to the new layout. Yes, the snare does have a rimshot trigger - in fact, all the pads have rimshot triggers, and most of the kits include sounds for the rims. The crash cymbal is dual-trigger (rim & bow) and the ride cymbal has 3 triggers (rim, bow, bell). I'm loving the cymbal chokes too - overall Roland makes great products at every level, entry through pro (IMHO).

  • exelent to hear :-) i know they also sell td-9's with gumrubber tom's, but you took the best edition. there's so much to adjust in that kit, and has so much variation in drumkits. superb choice there. when you said you wanted to get a new kit, i thought about the td-20 :-) but that one is so much more expensive :-D

maybe you could put up a run drumming with different kit, switching from one to another :-) (i wonder if there's steeldrums in there...)

  • Agree with you on the cymbal pads, seems like they could do something about it. Maybe the next OS for Windows will include an upgrade for Movie Maker - kind of annoying that the new cameras have outpaced it.

  • i think it's time for us to switch over to the new windows :-P but i'm afraid i have to upgrade my pc too, if that's what it takes.....

  • woooo! new Kit! Very awesome! how are you finding them? Great Cover! 5*s

  • Hey Kunoichi :) Thanksk! I'm loving the new kit - much more versatile, lots more sounds.

  • Now you show all your experience!

Amazing drums, what are you going to do with the others? I'm trying to look for some drums, and the ones you had before, are the ones I use at school, and play drums with.

Yet again, another amazing performance! :) 5/5.

  • Thanks Brad. I will either sell the old kit or give it to my son depending on how much interest he shows. Right now he's more into the guitar. They've been a great kit, really convenient.

  • I have a guitar. I brought one, yet never really showed interest, I think it was the fact that, I wanted something that I could get and play.

I didn't really think about the learning concept.

Maybe we could do a swap? It isn't a bad one, I'll try and get a picture. It's a fender stratocaster, small size - it's isn't really that small though.

  • Tempting offer, but i'm gonna go local to avoid the hassles of packing and shipping.

  • aww, ok.Thanks anyways. :)
