well, I guess you could say I'm old. But I just don't have the patience nor time to use a phone to access the internet.. If I'm away from pc or laptop I'm going to live in the world. Not on my phone. I have this phone. So far I don't really care for it. It has a lot of features but, it is very difficult to do simple tasks. Like turn down the ring volume or find the contacts list.. It's a work phone and I had limited choices. I think i made a poor choice for my use. which is to get and make calls

The Blackberry Pearl Flip doesn't require a data plan or any smartphone plans. If you want, you can just get the phone, a voice plan, and check out. You can still use internet and all if you have wifi, and if you spend most of your time at home, then perfect. But to get most out of a blackberry, an optional blackberry data plan is availible for this phone.

NOTE: The data plan is optional only on the flip. All other smartphones REQUIRE a data plan.

I have this phone. Easily scratches all over the screen from simply closing after a few weeks forming the shape of the ball area with even slight soft closing. Poorly made for screen scratch prevention outside and inside. Facebook and some other apps that mind you come on it don't even work with the tmobile subscription so it's stupid lame. I am going to trade mine for a curve or go with verizon now.

I am not stupid enough to leave it with keys, metal, coins or anything of that nature. I have had it with 0 things and proven that it will get scratches still in my pocket. It is called rubbing material (common sense).

The scratches on the screen if you don't use a screen protector will happen as even other users have shown the exact same marks on theirs. Sorry buddy but I wasn't trying to flame the phone just pointing the facts like others have.

nice review mate. I just ordered mine from o2 today so should be here tomorrow. just wanted to know more about the music player. While not what i wanted the phone for as it's mainly for net and email stuff i do listen to my music while walking to work. So is the music player good on it and does it have equalizers or is it pretty standard and just plays the music without anything fancy. I was thinking of buying an ipod to play music but if the phone does a good job i will save the money.
