They used a Garret t3 turbo right? So much potential in that turbo...I mean for a car engine. But I bet the mini bike gets a tiny bit more torque from the added back pressure from the turbo lol
This is a waste of time. Even if it managed to work, the clutch on the bikes drive shaft couldn't possibly handle it. A 3/4" shaft clutch can only handle up to about 6 or 7 HP. If you wana go faster, put a bigger engine on... $200 for an 11hp at harbor freight and $50 for a 1" shaft clutch on ebay... and it wont look so stupid

Well if the overall appearance of the engine or the sheer sound isn't enough to convince you it's a 4 stroke, then get a look at the crank case @ 1:07 between the upper and lower chain... there you can plainly see the cranK case OIL CAP. two srtroke engines don't have crank case oil.

I get the idea the TURBO RPM is not not happening, so as a fast guess the engine ought to pick up some RPM for the transfer of flow visaversa as if the bike could start in first gear to get going at least within 60% rpm's.

if anything, the turbine of the turbo is restricting the exhaust's gaspath and therefore creating excessive backpressure. when u rev it up, I guarantee the exhaust blockage is causing the spent gases to linger in the comb. chamb. (turbine is too big to expel it fast enough) so youre running it real lean. Basically the back pressure is causing mixture dilution. your intake stroke is getting ripped off.
@turbofanman1 the problem is the turbo is too big for the small volumetric efficiency of the engine.... the exhaust is not moving fast enough to instill any sort of motion from the turbo to produce positive pressure.

need to hook a compressed oxygen tank to the carb and have a regulater on it so it opens more as the throttle is used. actually that sounds a little dangerous so don't try it. probably blow the motor up.
I think that you need a pump for the oil feed the turbo.You can try with RHB31 or RHF3 Turbo in this minibike those turbo are really small. But looks curious your minibike.
Yes, the Turbo is way too big to spin up fast enough to make any boost, but it is still one COOL project! Nice to see you guys did a good job building it all :)
no enough exhaust to make a difference if you ran it on premium with an aftermarket plug then may get a little bit more "BOOST" but thats a huge maybe

Either that or you have no clue I am literally talking about the same turbo which I have on my 2 stroker. You act as if it's impossible to use a turbo on a 2 stroker. Besides, this video is not about a turbocharged 2 stroker but a 4 stroker. Reading is fundamental.

@turbofanman1 Fact is single cylinder's cant run a turbo! imagine the pulse through the exhaust is on, off, on, off. you need higher revs and a way smaller turbo for a single cylinder 2-stroke and more cylinders for a 4-stroke..... Just a thought, my mate tried to turbo a small chinese 125 with a tiny hitachi turbo and the boost bouncing to 2psi and back to 0 and did sweet FA to improve power

need to hook a compressed oxygen tank to the carb and have a regulater on it so it opens more as the throttle is used. actually that sounds a little dangerous so don't try it. probably blow the motor up.

I think that you need a pump for the oil feed the turbo.You can try with RHB31 or RHF3 Turbo in this minibike those turbo are really small. But looks curious your minibike.

Get yourself a "coke-can" turbo. They actually sell them by that name. You might get lucky and find one on ebay.
