Do you believe that John McCain would have been able to prevent the 3 attacks you were refering to if he had been chosen over Obama? Do you believe that McCain would have used more than a minute on secuirty/terrorism? Also, aside from Fort Hood and the Christmas Day incident, what was the other attack? Also, realize between 9/11/01 and 01/20/09 there were 3 similar shootings like the one at Fort Hood in Los Angeles, CA, Seattle, WA, and Salt Lake City, UT.

The 3 similar shootings were commited by Muslim fanatics. The one in Los Angeles was at the El Al ticket counter at the LA Airport on July 4, 2002, the one in Seattle was on July 28, 2006 at a Jewish Federation, and the one in Salt Lake City was at a shopping mall on February 12, 2007. You can look them up on Wikipedia. They all happened under Bush after 9/11.

I can tell that Giuliani must have been watching the speech on Fox News. I was flipping back and forth between the different networks, and it seemed like Fox was at least 5-8 seconds behind all of the other networks. I wonder if Fox deliberately edited the parts on National Security to make their viewer base believe that Obama does not care about national security. He is also trying to install feelings of guilt on the American people for electing Obama and not McCain.

He wasn't a great leader before 9/11. His own emergency response experts told him he should set up a city emergency center in one of the outer boroughs since Manhattan, and particularly the WTC was a target. He overruled them and put the response center in the WTC.
On 9/11 you see him walking in the streets and NOT from a emergency response center. Why? Because that dumbass refused to listen to experts on the matter.

There are all of these comments about the SOTU, Pres Obama, etc. But few are commenting on what this particular clip is about: Guiliani was clearly snoozing during the SOTU & has no idea what he's talking about. It's another political attempt to fleece the public (who may or may not have watched the SOTU themselves) into thinking what he's saying is fact when it's so obviously not. MountAthos, the US fought two barbary wars, against was essentially the Ottoman Empire's North African regencies of Algiers, Tripoli, and Tunis, known collectively as the Barbary States. The war was not against a group of people without a nation, as is the case with Al Quaeda. Comparing the Barbary Wars to fighting a nationless entity like Al Quaeda is very misleading. You might do well to read some history on the conflict.

The issue that forced the Barbary wars was non-governmental actors, terrorists if you will. Pirates, taking hostages and booty. The people attacking us were not governmental troops, though some governments gave them safe harbor or looked the other way.
It's equivalent to Iran and Syria giving safe harbor to terrorists today. The war is on terrorists, but to get at them we have to force concessions from those governments that give them safe harbor.
