In the book, there wasn't a Blue Boy painting. There was a painting of a boy looking at balloons. In the other world through the door, the little boy is still looking at the balloons but with a distinct air of menace. Coraline notices there is something wrong with his eyes but can't quite make out what it is.
um....actually he has an ice cream cone in his hand before Coraline goes through. then when she's in the Other Mothers realm he dropped the ice crem on the ground. unless you saw a different one.....
That book looks gorgeous but the whole time I just couldn't help biting my nails because of the proximity of the very full coffee cup to some very valuable items. All it takes is one misplaced elbow.
You know what sucks I bet some of the items that came out of that box were sold on Ebay. I would treasure that stuff forever. The audio used for this clip was from the Coraline soundtrack.

Actually, the Coraline movie's characters were actual figurines. So what he said about Coraline's mother is inncorrect. Many people went too hard work to make a single figurine (i heard somewhere around 250) and this guy thinks that a computer made all of the movie. Over half of the animation was produced by hand. Look closely at a movie scene and you can see little threads of clothing. Those are real.
actually he said a 3d printer made the objects, which I would not be surprised about. they make the objects in 3d on a computer then a printer makes the objects in real life. search "3d printer zcorp" on youtube to see what I mean

Yeah, so, sometimes they change things in movies.
braden1098 2 years ago
I'm well aware of that. I'm just thinking the "menacing boy with balloons" motif would have been a better choice.

QueenBoadicea, sorry about the earlier post, i didnt read the "book" part. i thought u meant the movie....

I'm sure they used different sizes for different shots, the chronicle of this film is to insane to butten down to anything obvious or simple.

They aren't real movie props you moron. The characters in the movie were about 18" tall so the button box would have been 1/5 that size.
