for a live band to be synced up like this is unbelievable especially since the drummer has no in ear monitors that i can see with a click track...TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT
(Hi my name is daigen, I am using a friend's account) FIRST of all, this is total bullshit, it is fucking retarded how many people you can fool with this shit. it is not cool when you post live footage with an album version of a song. that's retarded, why would you trick people like that? secon and lastly, it's easy to figure out, because the guitarist is playing when in the intro there is no guitar. they are strumming, when their instrument isn't being played.
Calm down, bub. Audio doesn't always have to match video and its such a small i thing i dont see why it would matter too much. Second I doubt anyones gonna care enough to fix that problem just for you, or even care too much about your opinion. sorry, but thats the hard thruth. The internet is fulla people who dont give what you or most people think.
Damn, I wish you didnt cover the album version over it. Anyway, I saw these guys a couple of days ago, the best gig ever. Pelican was there too which also lit it up...Good times..

this is AWESOME.. though i wouldnt mind if it was just a slight bit softer voice, like american head charge? than i would have a new favourite band, they still kick ass though!

Halfwayhouse12a is right, the sad thing is; many bands do this these days, and its getting to the point where most bands just become studio bands.
Isis still write amazing songs. When I saw them live their songs were too raw to be overdubbed by the studio track, however, it is still possible that they may have still been playing to a click track...unfortunately.
Isis are anything but a studio band. They sound amazing live, they pull it all off. There was definitely no click track when I saw them. I think the albums are fairly minimalistic, they're just very rich-sounding. I've never noticed any overdubs, except for some vocal harmonies.
When I said "he dubbed the album track over the original audio," I didn't mean ISIS played to prerecorded tracks. I meant that the person who made the video muted the live audio and inserted the album version. ISIS pulls off their live sound phenomenally well. Search for their proshot Sweden show.
If you want to see the post-harcore line up, listen to Neurosis "Pain of Mind". Then listen to "Through Silver in Blood" or anything after. The listen to Isis, Cult of Luna etc. And don't forget to check out Old Man Gloom and Red Sparrowes on your way :)
I don't think it's weird at all, imo they've gone through an extremely clear development, say from mosquito control to celestial, to oceanic, to panopticon, to the absence of truth. they truly have changed their style a lot through this development, but its not very radical imo.......SWATTER!!!
I think it's cool how such a brutal HC band can evolve into something SO MUCH MORE. Although, ever since ISIS existed, they were into experimenting with stuff. I still have Mosquito Control and Sawblade and ISIS Self-Titled Demo to hear, but I've heard a bit of Mosquito Control, which really opens up the timeline of evolution within ISIS' sound. I love this band. A great influence to my music too.
Of course it isn't. I guess I stated it a bit unclear. I meant to say that ISIS evolved from a HC band into one of the hugest Avant-Garde Metal bands today.
No, they were. The members were coming from HardCore bands they weren't happy with. So they decided to line-up with a new type of HardCore, which was extreme. It was pretty much like Converge, but they took another path that evolved into something so great as heard today.
yes i have and i just cant say its hardcore, man, but this is pointless i dont care about the styles so lets get over this both. last night great pelican concert : )
Theres an amazing remix to this song i reccomend listening to when ur completely smashed on something it will spin u out... love this band... its weird they used to be more hardcore...
yeah it's overdubbed. so fucking what? it sounds good and matches up. probably sounds a hell of a lot better than some kid in the crowd would get with a cam mic. quit bitching.
there's an audio/video delay on eveything i've uploaded to date, so don't use that as evidence. vox too perfect? it's clearly not the oceanic album track, and how can his vox be too perfect for his own live performance if it's dubbed off a live version?? wtf...
