I swear, Wonderful chocobos are MUCH better at racing (almost on par with black chocobos) if you max out their stats. At least that's how it's been in my games. I was able to feed the wonderful chocobo a lot more greens before its stats stopped going up.

The reason you were able to feed the Wonderful chocobo so many greens was because you found it in the wild, so its stats were initially low. Since you bred your black chocobo, it inherited stats from its parents, so it required much fewer greens to max out its stats.

Wait, so who's Sephiroth's dad? Is he the same guy who shot vincent? And I never really understood what Professor Gast was doing. It seemed at the beginning of the game that he created Sephiroth, but then it was Hojo and Gast was just doing some study with his Cetra wife. Then Hojo went and found Gast and killed(?) his wife. But then Gast and Hojo created Sephiroth? I mean, I guess they could've forced him to, but I still dunno who that guy was who shot Vincent and/or fathered Sephiroth.

The best way I found to beat Joe is to anticipate where he will be at the end. Unless you have the gold chocobo, you will NEVER beat Joe in the long track, but you can beat Joe on the short track, if you can block him from passing you in outer space at the end of the race, then sprint to the finish, and you can beat him. But it is tricky, because once he bumps into you, he will try to pass you .
