He just dumped oil on the front motor mount (rubber). Not good practice. Should always try to divert the spill from filter removal to a container. A piece of cardboard works fine.
the purpose of a bypass filter isn't to be ignored, it is to process the oil at a slower rate. In a non-bypass filter oil is shoved through the filter and many particulates get shoved through as well. A bypass filter slowly leaks oil into the filter and gradually pulls out particulates without added pressure (thus keeping the particulate in the filter) They also work really well for pulling water out of the oil. Feel free to search youtube for videos on how this works.
if you damage the threads you can replace the oil pan. or take the drain plug to a auto parts store and try to match it up with a over sized plug. be sure to check for leakage before riding. I would personally replace the pan.
At the time I made this video I was a nervous, fat, smoker, on a 108 degree day. Plus the video guy would not let me use a script, he wanted it to be natural. Since then I have dieted, quit smoking & gotten even better looking. lol. But you're right I sound horrible. I might do some more videos in the future but with a script.

Why would you bypass the filter? Kinda pointless to put a filter on that gets ignored. What were the engineers thinking?

What do you do if you accidentally over tighten the oil drainage plug and thread it slightly? Can you re-thread or do something to fix it?

Thanks for the info but I took the Sump Plate out and got it Heli-Coiled. No leaks now and only cost £10.

I like this series. You do a service Mr Fishel. Shouldn't it be a Harley Twin Cam filter though? Keep up the good work.
