  • There is definitely not enough liquid in that mix!

    You can see that the dough hasnt risen properly and when its cut the texture looks solid.

    Also,when adding the wet mix to the dry with soda bread,You cant be waiting round for fruit to soak! You have to get it in the oven double quick before the bicarb reaction fizzles out.
