That's a great ad, obviously these people below did not get the meaning, so many sales, so many coupons, you need to have to get the best price, and then you shop when the sales are, the new Penny's will have low every day prices each day.. Just saying

This commercial is hilarious! I don't know what all of you are complaining about, it delivered its message clearly. It is more than just the screaming. It is the way they portray their women shoppers. Loud, spoiled and stupid, I'd say. Nothing about it says class or quality or elegance. Nothing about it makes me want to identify with these women - and by extension - this store.

@tich302001 I think you're right...I get coupons for JcPenney the day of the sale, when I go there they usually have at least 1 if not 2 or 3 pink stickers on tags, items on clearance racks that are not on clearance...you hit the nail on the head. When they started seeing the new tickets, the customers asked if there was a coupon that would bring the price further down and we had to say 'no'. "No more coupons?!" was what they said. JCP says that their new prices are meant to be "Everyday low prices" like Wal-Mart, but from what I saw, customers weren't willing to pay the price on the ticket, even if it was already "low".

I first heard about this commercial on the JCP FaceBook page, and I had to come to YouTube to see it. l apparently don't watch the TV channels it has been shown on. After having seen it though, I am so disappointed in JC Penney's. I have been a JCP charge card holder for more than 10 years, and it bugs me that they aren't doing us any favors with their Free Shipping with a $69 order. Now there's this commercial. @MsTenzu I work at JCP and I can tell you this they bought out a lot of those employees they weren't laid off they were retired with full benefits and they had to have been there so many years to qualify. I'm part time I work way more then 20 hours a week and I make way more then $8.50 jcp is good about pay and associate perks. I also have part time benefits we are get visual, dental, and health so you obviously have no clue what you are talking about and probably never worked there.
@jcpgirl100 I work at JCP too and I 100% totally agree! I make about 12.50 an hour selling shoes it's great pay and they treat their associates great. The layoff's are rumors and not true at all. They only let go of their seasonal help and upon hire they tell you that you are only a temp. They keep about 70% every year of the work force. This commercial is very funny I love it! As an associate it is so annoying to constantly tell customers their coupon won't work. I'm loving this new concep

I also want to comment that the commercial is unclear of its meaning, is played a lot, and is very annoying. However it does its job. It grabs your attention, sticks in your head, and the date stated on the end clearly states that something big is happening at JCP on Feb 1st. In case your wondering it is a massive change in pricing strategy to simplify things and make sales available every day of the year (as appose to 4 hour deals or coupons on certain days.) Also a new liberal return policy.
As a one of the JCPenney's employees (4 years now) MsTenzu is referring to I have to say that the CEO makes many choices to make a company thrive and keep jobs for the majority. It sucks to see my friends go and honestly some choices where not well made in regard to who must leave ( Like our only lost prevention officer) but sometimes you need to make some sacrifices to survive. His large paycheck reflects the stress and work that he has to deal with every day.

I first heard about this commercial on the JCP FaceBook page, and I had to come to YouTube to see it. l apparently don't watch the TV channels it has been shown on. After having seen it though, I am so disappointed in JC Penney's. I have been a JCP charge card holder for more than 10 years, and it bugs me that they aren't doing us any favors with their Free Shipping with a $69 order. Now there's this commercial. Amazon.com with it's $25 order Free Shipping is my new store of choice.

This is the worst commercial i have ever seen. Who in their right mind would think this was good enough to air. Nobody wants to hear screaming over and over for 30 seconds. I will not spend any of my money at JC penny until this is pulled off the air.

No more J.C. Penney for me till this is off the airwaves.
Late last year I posted that The FCC announced it has adopted regulations banning TV systems from broadcasting commercials that are louder than shows.
This new "FUNNY"(as they call it) J.C Penney commercial has me hitting the {the MUTE button} a lot lately.
Hopefully this regulation will pass and with a clause about stupidity and taste included.
Don't buy JC Penney till this commercial is removed.

@MsTenzu I work at JCP and I can tell you this they bought out a lot of those employees they weren't laid off they were retired with full benefits and they had to have been there so many years to qualify. I'm part time I work way more then 20 hours a week and I make way more then $8.50 jcp is good about pay and associate perks. I also have part time benefits we are get visual, dental, and health so you obviously have no clue what you are talking about and probably never worked there.

@jcpgirl100 I work at JCP too and I 100% totally agree! I make about 12.50 an hour selling shoes it's great pay and they treat their associates great. The layoff's are rumors and not true at all. They only let go of their seasonal help and upon hire they tell you that you are only a temp. They keep about 70% every year of the work force. This commercial is very funny I love it! As an associate it is so annoying to constantly tell customers their coupon won't work. I'm loving this new concep

I've worked for JCPenney's a Hairdresser for 8 years, and I've seen prices get so hiked up that business almost disappeared, these changes are going to help big time, this commercial makes me laugh, finally we are saying no and giving JCPenney respectable name once again. There isn't going to be huge layoffs, this CEO knows what he is doing.

I also want to comment that the commercial is unclear of its meaning, is played a lot, and is very annoying. However it does its job. It grabs your attention, sticks in your head, and the date stated on the end clearly states that something big is happening at JCP on Feb 1st. In case your wondering it is a massive change in pricing strategy to simplify things and make sales available every day of the year (as appose to 4 hour deals or coupons on certain days.) Also a new liberal return policy.

As a one of the JCPenney's employees (4 years now) MsTenzu is referring to I have to say that the CEO makes many choices to make a company thrive and keep jobs for the majority. It sucks to see my friends go and honestly some choices where not well made in regard to who must leave ( Like our only lost prevention officer) but sometimes you need to make some sacrifices to survive. His large paycheck reflects the stress and work that he has to deal with every day.
