I bought the Dazzle pro, hooked it up the AV cables correctly, downloaded all the software, and still cannot figure out how to record the video from your tv. @patmac7441 the cable for the dazzle is maybe 3 ft...the dazzle just comes by itself (with software) so you are going to need A/V cables (your xbox cables will work if you are using HD connections to your TV...see my "How to Set Up Dazzle Capture Card video in the responses) and you will also need a USB extension cord if your computer isn't close to your TV...you can also use longer A/V cables...just depending on whichever one you can find cheaper.

@JustinMegaProduction Best thing i came up with is that my tv has a dynamic setting and that brightened the screen up a little. Disabling the internet on your computer while playing online games will help the lag a little bit too.

Most likely, it's your output from your TV if your dazzle isn't being picked up. Try plugging your Xbox Video cable directly into your dazzle and retesting the connection through vegas, pinnacle, or Windows movie maker.

make sure your settings are set to capture from the dazzle and not another hardware like webcam or video camera that's not hooked up or something like that. If thats not it make sure your driver is installed correctly

Yes, as you can see I used a USB extension cord, they do sell longer ones, or you could just buy a couple and connect them to make them longer. Another option is buying longer A/V Cables and keeping the Dazzle by your computer and run the A/V cables the length.

The Dazzle is for connecting from anything you can connect a A/V cable to (Red, White, Yellow). The A/V cables come from your TV's output jacks in the back of the TV and run to the front of the Dazzle. The Dazzle connects to your computer by a standard USB 2.0 plug. If you are trying to record what's on your monitor, I would recommend checking out different software that records your screen like CamStudio.
