Okay, the officers had probable cause to taze this man. When a cop asks you to do something, it doesn't matter if you think he's right or wrong, you do it. Do you morons not realize that tazing people is a standard procedure that is only done after there are multiple qualifing facts? There are hundreds of people, much smarter than most of you, who study the most effective, efficient way of controlling an environment. The Niners are last and the Raiders are first in their division but the Niners games still sell out and the Raiders games are blacked out because they can't sell enough tickets. Even Raiders fans don't want to go to the games. WTF? As for Giants and A's, yes the A's have more Championships but the farm team A's have been irrelevent in baseball for the last 15 years and it looks like they will suck for at least another 10.

If you notice the cops darts at 1:05 miss the guy all together, that is why he is still able to talk clearly, if he had been hit he would have folded up like a lawn chair, that is why the cop dry stunned him cause the guy had actually not been hit with the darts, it just made a bunch of noise, you will notice the cop tries to stun him again, and realizes the guy is not bothered by it, so he dry stuns him!

A couple of you seem to be confused, those are real cops that walked up to him and tried to remove him, it is oakland police dept, they are contracted to work the games. I think responsible use of tasers is not wrong. What else do you want them to do? Shoot the guy? This guy was super drunk and would not heed the cops/security. What can they do? Stand there and let the creep break rules and keep people from being able to watch the game? It is not excessive force if they guy brought it on himself by being stupid. It is excessive force if it was a person who was not breaking rules nor doing anything to deserve it.

The 'creep' was tasered twice by the coward once the handcuffs were placed on him. Thereby he did not pose a threat & fell forward with his cuffed hands which prevented him from bracing the impact from the floor.
We don't have corporal punishment in the West & therefore don't taser people for 'breaking the rules'.
He was tasered because as the fanny in the video whined 'he was being 'belligerent'

Granted, tasing might not always be the best course of action but it is meant to be a relatively safe way for law enforcement or security to control a person.
Anybody, even regular people, can be a threat with handcuffs on. They aren't magic forces of immediate threat dissolvers which work on contact.

Because the tazer is a "Non-lethal" weapon, the cops now use it without hesitation instead of old skills like diplomacy and reason. Just give them a bit of lip - or stand up for yourself when the police are being dicks (which they sometimes are) and next thing you know you are twitching on the ground in agony.
Most of the time it is unnecessary and it's wrong.
