  • I'm from Detroit, MI and Flint is about 1 hour north-notorious for poverty, drugs, crime etc. Both cities are usually in the top 5 for Murder City along with Compton etc.....REPRESENT MI!!!

  • Deeeeeeeeeeeeep

  • @febreze354...I'm glad you posted this video. But why did you edited the video? Why do that? This is her poem and she is exrpressing her soul and pouring her out out and you edited. That wasn't cool at all,but I'm glad you posted the video.

  • This is good stuff.

  • jesus christ. shes crying. ahhhh

  • these poets are nuts. all they do is bitch.

  • oh god. lots of complaining

  • that brought tears to my eyes like...damn girl touch mee!!!!!

  • I never knew HD could look so amazing..

  • they said we'd become victim to the street..

they said we'd become victim to the street..

as if the concrete can creep up and catch us..

in the midst of walking lift up and grab us..

    cock back and blast us..

    back handed slap us..

    and we beleived them..

  • Where did she get the last part of her poem? "All i got to give is the sweat off my bra and the tears when the fall . All i got to give is my everything knowing I still could lose my everything"

  • @Abel1987 sweat off my brow nd considering she wrote the poem herself she may have wrote it but if she diddnt you can google it nd prolly find it

  • @Abel1987 It's one of her songs:)

  • i like what she's wearing...

  • "Donhonki" "First ever crown court banned uk rap-poet" (2009-2014) #SuperInjunction

  • what is this poem about?

  • @snjurko92 I think it's about the streets, she talks about life on the streets and how attractive it is to the youth. How she's afraid that her two sons will follow that path just like there father did, and he is now dead.....all i've got to give is my everything (father of her children), knowing i still could lose my everything (her children)

  • can someone help me understand the meaning of this poem i truly dont get it,

  • its Poetry people you are to feel it and make peop[le go where your mind goes

  • C'mon..this is a fake ass puerto rican girl who plays the roll of a broken hearted palastenian woman...THE SHIT IS FAKE...this poem blows...its the worst poem of that entire show...and of course this is just my opinion ..im not asking any of you to agree with it :D

  • @IShedLight uh... who says she's playing at being palestinian? she IS a muslim woman. That has nothing to do with her race, where she was born or anything, and clearly from the context of the poem she is NOT foreign, she does seem like a regular boriqua from the hood...although she could be black or mixed race, ro any other race, she just read the Qur'an and follows it's teachings.

  • @IShedLight If a black woman got up and said praise jesus, you wouldn't say "oh this is some pagan african playing at being a southern baptist", you'd realize that race and religion and completely unrelated

  • Beautiful simply Beautiful.

  • Prophetic! sub me back

  • Simply Amazing

  • Oh my god. That was simple amazing. Shes so talented, and their was so much emotion behind every word. That was great, so real.

  • So heart felt... loved it...

  • woow thispoet people do not act.. their words r real and the truth...I wish politcians did poet instead of using missles for innocent middle eastern children n women for crime they never did....I feel her pain n am in tears.. God bless u Liza Garza

  • @IShedLight u know whats pathetic self-centerd people like u.

  • @IShedLight You are so simple. I bet you can't do a better job, if you don't like it just watch something else and shut up.

  • @IShedLight

Why do you think she is being dramatic?

  • U are a natural......your words speaks to me in the deepest possible way. Thanks

  • Theocratic nonsense; completely lacking in any aesthetic sense.

  • Thumbs up if you agree...

The uploader should be ashamed of the sensorship of "Bismillah" (in the name of God) @ 2:07, thanks @ Ratseeker for pointing that out.

Here is the uncensored video: v=PL56rneIzuA

  • Comment removed

  • @Ratseeker Wait, I missed that--what? Did he edit part of it out?

  • @TheCatsLastWord, Yeah the performance is longer.

  • If you liked this poem then you would love my new poem I AM. Just go to my page or type "manez1234 I Am" in the search bar and be prepared to be moved by some of the realiest spoken word on youtube.

  • interesting expression enjoyed it

  • naaa she didnt lose her husband... i met both of them like 2 months ago, and they had a new baby boy.... its just what fits in her poem so she wrote it

  • really? it seems very VERY personal to her and when she started choking up man that was very emotional. I thought she really did lose her husband because "september october she's forced to remember when she lost him"

  • A baby girl. not a boy.

  • she was probably refering to another love she had prior to him

  • Liza Garza.. Damn this is just beautifully moving, had me in tears too

Bismillah, In the name of Allah

  • shes dressed very modest

iv got extra respect for her coz of that

  • she is muslim

  • Can anyone tell me whats the song that she begins to sing at the end?

  • She lost her husband duh

  • her husband as in.....

    Amir Sullaiman?

  • how do you know.?? like is it fact or ur interpretation

  • Good poem, but hard for me to get the message. Nonetheless, I've watched it a few times b/c of the delivery.

  • She lost her husband to the streets and doesn't want her children to follow the same path, so she's trying to show the reality of "the streets" that have gained popularity because of misleading culture, etc.

  • AMAZINGGG

  • WOW!!! to deep

  • Wow - the raw honesty in her words and delivery. Wonderful!

  • God Bless this Woman

  • she's this emotionally involved because her husband had just been shot down and murdered. that's what this poem is about.

  • I remember seeing this on HBO. THIS WAS WHAT HAD ME WATCHING. It was the first time I ever seen spoken word poetry ever done.

  • too dramatic... pretty poem tho

    Thank you

  • im grateful for all the love.

  • theres always a hater....thats y she's on here and ur not

  • Thanx!

  • Bismillah!?....wat does that mean

  • Bismillah means " In the name of Allah, the most Kind and the most Merciful".

  • no, it only means "in the name of Allah"

  • ^^

correct..Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Rahim means In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful...

  • Bismillah-Ir-Rahman Ir-Raheem - In the name of Allah, the most Gracious the most Merciful.

  • amazing!

  • you're an amazing individual.

    i love this poem.

  • beautiful .... made me cry.

  • Crying from that....

    Beautiful

  • that was amazing.

  • Thats just so sad.. why did they edit out when she says "Bismillah"?! maybe she just whispered it, because i dont think she intended to break down on stage?Good to see that some people rely on their faith in times of sadness.

  • at 2:19 she says bismellah.

  • wtf this dude who posted this vid edited out when she says bismallah

  • Maybe she mouthed it?

  • she said bismillah to

May Allah help her through her pain

  • she said bismillah here for Allah to give her strength to keep going not really 2 help her through her pain

    newai mashallah veriiii well donee

  • black jesus pieces and pinky rings over size white tees and............................the streets are calling me

    what does she say there????

  • Beautiful and amazing.

    That's it.

  • I like her accent! She has a nice soft voice too.

  • accent?

  • like the was she says her words the way she talks its different to me but i like it...if that makes any sense..?

  • yip

  • beautifully written and delivered. most poets roll too fast, but she was speaking at the perfect tempo.
