i gota x7 phenom for christmas with the e grip but im only allowed to use semi at my field so i was disapointed but still loved my phenom but i was thinking about getting the flat style double trigger to shoot faster should i ?
Whats the difference between an e grip with double trig and a basic, say an Tippmann A5, with double trig? And is the E-Grip susceptible to water damage?
@jakethemistake19 The double trigger on an E-Gripped gun will allow you to walk the trigger, letting you fire MUCH faster than you could w/ a single finger trigger. A double trigger on a mechanical gun is just more comfortable than a single finger trigger, and will make the trigger pull lighter. E-Grips are susceptible to water damage, but you'd have to be playing pretty miserable conditions for water to get into your grip frame. Generally, if it's raining that much, you should take a break :)
I have the 2011 A5 basic and I want to get a double trigger to walk it, what would be easier to do that. The fang double trigger? Or the one you have with the grooves?
@MrDaniel13579 Installing a double trigger on an Alpha will require cutting the body halves and is not something we recommend. The 98 trigger will fit in theory but requires so much modification that it becomes structurally weak.
I had one problem with this, i had a double trigger and it became a safety issue after the third or fourth time i played with it, the trigger became lose and the safety would fail if the gun was manipulated wrong.... if you do get one make sure you keep your single trigger and/or a replacement, a few bucks isn't worth somebody's eye
@dynosan1 If it works, yes. But no available parts or upgrades means that this marker is essentially dead out of the box. It is hard to recommend a used marker to start with.
I am getting this and a cyclone feed, should I buy a e grip or a RT, they will both end up being around the same cost scince I have to get an adapter if I get tue RT and cyclone
@TheMRcrispycream I personally would go for the E-Grip as they are just more user friendly and consistent. Also, with a double trigger you have the option to actually walk the trigger with an E-Grip. Just my two cents.
I just bought a double trigger for my Tippmann A5. I screwed in some HPA, then cocked it and shot it. It shoots once, but then stops. I have to pull back the cocking handle very hard to get it to shoot, but it only shoots once every time I do that. Help!
@SuperPeewee99 Yes, and no. A 98-style double trigger will fit on an Alpha Black or Project Salvo, but you'd have to cut off the trigger guard, and there would be no easy way to attach a new double trigger guard to the gun.
@SuperPeewee99 electric hopper, you can use the electric hopper on any gun, but a cyclone feed will be only for your tippmann and a lets say, rotor will work anywhere
@AbeybladeAsteR70185 It really depends on preference, do you want something a little more reliable with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty (A5) - Or do you want something that is a little lighter and easier to maneuver? (Sonix). They both use similar technology (blowback) and are relatively the same in terms of performance, Tippmann is just a much better company to work with and their markers have a lot more upgrades.
@hulk2410 Walking the trigger is a way to shorten the length of pull for the trigger and allow you to fire faster. The Response trigger cannot be walked necessarily but the sweet spot on the Response will be easier to find with the double trigger.
@hulk2410 You will need an electronic grip and a double trigger, have it set on Semi-auto, and you will be able to walk the trigger successfully. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@kalesuomi4 There are many great markers in that price range. I would look into a Tippmann 98 Custom ACT, and also the Tippmann A5. Two very capable markers that are tested, proven and can take anything you throw at them. Throw in a 2 year warranty from Tippmann and tons of available upgrades and the possibilities are endless.
@kalesuomi4 my mom got me into paintball cuz he airforce buddies played it on the base. they used 98 customs and they steped on their by acceident and they would still work!
Double triggers without and egrip is incredibly retarded, you cannot walk a tippman trigger. Plus the price of the trigger + egrip + gun is more then what you need to get a good used electro.
Hey im starting to get into paintball more, and i bought a tippman 98 custom. And I want to upgrade it. And i really want to buy a different and better trigger, and i want to buy a double trigger.. I'm thinking of getting into paintbal, like buying the gear, whats the best gun to start off with etc?i dont know where to start but ive heard only good things about the 98 custom
@Stag2506 Any Tippmann marker is a fantastic marker, I highly recommend them. Not only the 98, but any of their markers. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@crazyboy101202 The 98 is a great starter marker that has a ton of available upgrades. It is a marker that we get a lot of requests for videos, so here they are!
@aldaman27 Yes, a 98 double trigger will work just fine on the Project Salvo, but you DO have to cut off the stock trigger guard, so most people don't put double triggers on their Alpha Blacks or Project Salvos
@biigbf43 There is not a double trigger that sis made specifically for the Alpha Black. You can use a 98 double trigger but you will need to cut off the stock trigger guard.
@srgpeanut8 The mechanics of the Alpha Black and the Project Salvo are the same, so you just have to figure out how many accessories you're eventually going to want to mount to your gun. A lot - Salvo, A little - Alpha Black. It's your preference for looks.
im new to paintball and i was wondering if this 98 custom pro is a good buy for playing on a team. If not what is a good marker that is around 150 to 200 dollars
@greatchill10 If your budget is $150 to $200, I'd recommend the A5 over the 98, as it comes with the Cyclone Feed System and it's much easier to take apart. Check them out on our website!
@HustlePaintball what are your recommendations if i am looking at the A5 and i am on the side looking at what you can add on what do you think i should add on?
@greatchill10 The A5 has a lot of different aesthetic mods that are just about your visual preference. As for upgrades besides upgrading to a response or electronic trigger you will want to upgrade the cyclone feed. Upgrading the internals of the marker itself, though you can do it, doesn't actually improve much, the A5's main weakness is stock parts in the Cyclone feed when you have higher rates of fire.
@HustlePaintball i know i am asking alot of questions but if i buy a responce trigger and double trigger do they come already installed when they ship it or do they send the parts with it and i have to install it also one last thing if they send the parts do they send how to install and is it for the gun that i buy or is it for any gun
@HustlePaintball hey, im new too ! :D should i get an Azodin Kaos ? my friends recomended me to get that. BTW, does the gas tank matter ? i mean i know about the pros and cons of Co2 and HPA . but will a c02 gas really jam the gun cause it freezes the internals or something ? =( im neww . sorry !
@nightubble The Kaos is a great starter marker. HPA is ALWAYS better than C02, it is consistent regulated pressure, and it doesn't ruin seals. Using HPA will get you more accurate results with your marker and require you to perform less maintenance.
@crashmgd1 To be able to properly walk the trigger you will also need to get the E-Grip upgrade kit, you will need a nice light trigger pull. Once you have that just practice slowly walking your fingers so they each hit the trigger at opposite times. If you do not do this there is a high chance of you fingers moving in a way that they sometimes hit the trigger before it is fully forward and it will not activate the sear.
@thefunkypanda1 This trigger will work on an Alpha Black but you'll need to cut off the trigger guard since it is attached to the marker and only allows for a single trigger. Once you do that, the 98 double trigger will work just fine.
@crashmgd1 You do not need the response or e-grip to use a double trigger. The double trigger is mainly used to walk the trigger to achieve higher rates of fire.
@crashmgd1 Depending on your marker and the double trigger you prefer the price will range from $15 to $50. The E-grip upgrade kits start at $79 and go up to $129 depending on your marker.
too bad you cant walk a mechanical trigger lol. but if you get a h.e. grip and add the double trigger to it, you can walk it. the h.e. grip is very sensitive for a tippmann trigger
As long as the trigger is built for your specific marker you should not have any issues. There appears to only be different fitments and colors for the Critical RPM trigger.
@q000ball Yes, that's right. If you get something like a TechT Fang trigger, it's fully adjustable, and you'll be able to make your trigger pull even shorter and lighter, and that will allow you to VERY easily walk the trigger.
@Pilotsofer That is false, if you have a double trigger and an electronic grip frame, you can walk just fine. You however can't walk the trigger if you have a basic mechanical grip frame, or response trigger, it will just make the trigger pull lighter.
@bannanaization No, it does not void the warranty, it's very very difficult to void a Tippmann warranty, they have some of the best customer support in the industry.
@xiAmplifiedix You can install one, however the trigger guard is a part of the reciever so you will have to chop that off and not be able to replace it unless you buy two new receiver halves.
alright well i understand you cant walk the trigger with the 98 custom because the pull is to hard, but what if you had a double trigger and an e trigger? will you then be able to then?
ok wut i didnt get was did u mean u need the e grip or response trigger to "walk the trigger" or shoot at a faster rate. will it still let u shoot faster w/o the e grip? or is it must??
@GO9REEN No, you do not need the e grip or response trigger to "walk the trigger". "Walking the trigger" is a shooting technique that will allow you to shoot faster.
@angrymuffin123 Definitely! It is one of the best aftermarket fang triggers on the market! It's fully adjustable and super smooth. It has a great high quality feel to it, it won't dissapoint.
@angrymuffin123 Your trigger pull will be lighter, but you will not be able to walk the trigger like you would an E-Grip, it's definitely a great upgrade for you to get though!
Double Triggers are typically better because you can Walk one...but I had a '99 Eclipse Angel LED w/ a single trigger & I was able to just put one finger in the trigger guard & Flick Up & Down & it shot fast enough to out-shoot a Viewloader Revolution 12V w/ X-Board...& a Viewloader Evolution II w/ the Z-Board...
@roem517 So I just personally compared the TechT fang trigger and the Pathogen Double trigger for the 98, both triggers seem to be the same exact length, meaning that the fang trigger would fit inside of it's trigger guard. I can't say for sure it would work with ALL trigger guards, but I think it's a safe bet to assume most double trigger guards would work with it.

@suckerfreelatino1 Yes, it will fit all Tippmann 98 Markers.

would this double trigger fit on a Tippmann Project salvo?
xtheXacTiviZioNx 1 year ago
@xtheXacTiviZioNx A 98 double trigger will fit, yes, but you will need to perform irreversible surgery and chop off the trigger guard.

Can you put a double trigger on a Alpha black?
eliteMMA200X 1 year ago
@eliteMMA200X You can, you would just have to saw off the trigger guard. You would use a Tippmann 98 double trigger kit.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
what i dont understand is the need for speed here? it only takes one ball to get somebody out. not ten.
sniperinthemist 1 year ago
@sniperinthemist What happens when that ball misses. Is there nine other balls in the air that could hit the target?
FTWiiSTEALTH 1 year ago
@FTWiiSTEALTH Then you shoot again, you waste paint that way. If you shoot at them 10 times and it hits on the 1st ball you wasted 9 balls.

so if i got a double trigger and an e grip will i be able to walk the trigger?
q000ball 1 year ago
@q000ball Yes, that's right. If you get something like a TechT Fang trigger, it's fully adjustable, and you'll be able to make your trigger pull even shorter and lighter, and that will allow you to VERY easily walk the trigger.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
I heard that you cannot walk a double trigger.
Pilotsofer 1 year ago
@Pilotsofer That is false, if you have a double trigger and an electronic grip frame, you can walk just fine. You however can't walk the trigger if you have a basic mechanical grip frame, or response trigger, it will just make the trigger pull lighter.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@HustlePaintball oh you can walk it with the egrip frame. i see. thanks for the info!

my 98's double trigger has a lot of side to side play. any recommendations to solve this problem?

@PaintballerPBful I have sent you a PM

does it void the waranty?
bannanaization 1 year ago
@bannanaization No, it does not void the warranty, it's very very difficult to void a Tippmann warranty, they have some of the best customer support in the industry.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@HustlePaintball oh. ok well thats good what about a response trigger?
bannanaization 1 year ago
@bannanaization The Response trigger most definitely does not void the warranty, it is a Tippmann product meant for Tippmann markers.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@HustlePaintball ok thank you very much!

Can you get a double trigger on the alpha black?
xiAmplifiedix 1 year ago
@xiAmplifiedix You can install one, however the trigger guard is a part of the reciever so you will have to chop that off and not be able to replace it unless you buy two new receiver halves.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@xiAmplifiedix look carefully at the trigger guard on your alpha black. its part of the receiver halves so it cant be removed.

if i fast fire using a double trigger on a non anti chop tippman 98 custom, will it chop a ball thus making me have to buy an electric hopper?
Pilotsofer 1 year ago
@Pilotsofer Yes, you definitely want a hopper that for sure feeds faster than you can shoot.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
This has been flagged as spam show
alright well i understand you cant walk the trigger with the 98 custom because the pull is to hard, but what if you had a double trigger and an e trigger? will you then be able to then?
burtonboarder482 1 year ago
ok wut i didnt get was did u mean u need the e grip or response trigger to "walk the trigger" or shoot at a faster rate. will it still let u shoot faster w/o the e grip? or is it must??
GO9REEN 1 year ago
@GO9REEN No, you do not need the e grip or response trigger to "walk the trigger". "Walking the trigger" is a shooting technique that will allow you to shoot faster.

do u guys think the techT fang trigger is worth its money?
angrymuffin123 1 year ago
@angrymuffin123 Definitely! It is one of the best aftermarket fang triggers on the market! It's fully adjustable and super smooth. It has a great high quality feel to it, it won't dissapoint.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@HustlePaintball ok but i have an A5 basic. will it still have the same effect as the E-grip?
angrymuffin123 1 year ago
@angrymuffin123 Your trigger pull will be lighter, but you will not be able to walk the trigger like you would an E-Grip, it's definitely a great upgrade for you to get though!

can you attach a double trigger to a tippmann x7 phenom?
ForTheGodEmperor 1 year ago
@ForTheGodEmperor Sadly, the Phenom is not currently compatible with any double triggers on the market.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@ForTheGodEmperor I believe you can double trigger most tippmanns. For the Emperor, battle brother. I dig you hamster space marine.

@clayisajedi444 Haha thanks, and also for mighty Terra =)

if i get double trigger, does tht mean i have to get a cyclone feed system or an electronic hopper?
Ducks314 1 year ago
@Ducks314 It may not be needed with just a double trigger, though your firing rate will increase, though I would suggest getting one.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
Double Triggers are typically better because you can Walk one...but I had a '99 Eclipse Angel LED w/ a single trigger & I was able to just put one finger in the trigger guard & Flick Up & Down & it shot fast enough to out-shoot a Viewloader Revolution 12V w/ X-Board...& a Viewloader Evolution II w/ the Z-Board...
thedeem0N 1 year ago
It's hard to walk the trigger on the 98.

Sorry, the TechT Aluminum Fang Trigger for the 98
roem517 1 year ago
Will the fang trigger fit inside of the 98C double trigger guard?
roem517 1 year ago
@roem517 To be sure, which fang trigger are you speaking of? Though it should, a fang trigger is just a style of double trigger.
HustlePaintball 1 year ago
@roem517 So I just personally compared the TechT fang trigger and the Pathogen Double trigger for the 98, both triggers seem to be the same exact length, meaning that the fang trigger would fit inside of it's trigger guard. I can't say for sure it would work with ALL trigger guards, but I think it's a safe bet to assume most double trigger guards would work with it.

thx helped alot!!

Hey can you get a Fang trigger for the 98? Or is it just for the A5?
bradleebuentello 2 years ago
Yes you can get a Fang trigger system on the 98 as well. check it out on our site!

Do you know if you can equip the Project Salvo with a double trigger?
Emone11701 2 years ago
You can - you would use a Tippmann 98 trigger, but you would have to cut off the trigger guard.
