  • @YesYouCan31 I am Ghanaian....and I study Planning.

  • so no development has been made since the 80s

  • @jsco91 - I don't know, as I've only seen a photograph of the Ako Adjei Interchange from that era.........however, this stretch of road is probably not one that needs the most urgent of upgrades.......

To me, that is reserved for the roads exiting central Accra........particularly the Teshie-Nungua Road......

  • @jsco91 Most Ghanaians will tell that development in Ghana/ Accra has changed drastically since the 80s and even the 90s.

  • Nice drive. Ghana could use a little help in the area of planning. Not saying that the place is a total disaster.

  • Yes, much of what you are seeing in this clip was developed in the 1980s, particularly the large Ako Adjei Interchange which comes into view......congestion is often a problem, but this was a Sunday, which is the best day to drive around central Accra.......

The main problem with traffic in Accra is the lack of directions you can take to get out of the city, often leading to heavy traffic in peak hour, because of the lack of choice in which to travel to go a certain direction......
