I think that the shot after Spock dies, where Kirk is just sitting on the other side of the glass staring vacantly at nothing and totally broken, is one of the saddest things I've ever seen.
I can't believe there is a STII-vid out there with this song. Back in1993 I made such a vid myself with very limited technology. Just recently I was able to convert it from my old videotape to my new HD-recorder and almost cried watching this old stuff. Thanks for bringing the memories back...
I also think the way you build up to a climax is very good too; the way that you mix the lyrics with the video clips to tell the story of the Wrath of Khan and perfectly capture the emotions behind the death scene itself...basically all round great editing!
Actually! Did you know that Brian May put (or allowed) the Preservers "musical" alphabet to be used for this song as it appeared in the Queen Heaven Laser Show? It's on the obelisk there. Not only fans are into universe crossovers, methinks.

Good vid. =) hehe. What's with the funny red uniforms? And what the HECK is up with Kirk's hair? *bursts out laughing* (I've only seen up to the end of "I,Mudd" on Season 2, Disc 2 so far). ^_^
Fits amazingly well it just fits star trek's characters so well and their reactions to mortality.

My two most favoritest things in one. This vid is better than a Resse's Peanutbutter Cup! "Hey! You got your Star Trek in my Queen!"

it was sad, and i loved that part and everything, but.. well, i keep thinking that if spock had heard that, he would have been MAJORLY insulted.
andoriansweetheart 4 years ago 7
At least he would have pretended like he'd been insulted, like he always does. I think he would have understood what Kirk meant by that.
