well with a submachine gun you can have good controll in fully auto. an ak i understand the pointlessnes. although it can be used mostly just to keep their heads down. look at the MG42 the germans used it and the allies found it to be a freaky mental weapon, because it always felt like they could not put out the same amount of ammo. so full auto can just be used to scare the piss out of the oposition and in return giving you more decision making time
