  • you lose weight brother you'll be able to fuck a lot of people up just cause your body tilting will be faster causing your punches to be much faster and stronger.

  • so where is rashad evans doing 52?

  • @Masterknaster: That's so true. That's why so many say that Bruce Lee is the "grandfather" of mma.

  • 1:37 In this situation, the white-dressed man could kick the other man in the groin.

  • @MegaSmud One can kick a man in the groin at almost any time. Hush.

  • @ilovesilvia69 You say it. Would that be a serious situation, then it would have taken a bad end.

  • @MegaSmud Duh. My point is why point that out, when one can kick sombody in the balls at almost any time. Unless you're sitting w/ your legs crossed, you're able to be kicked in the balls.

  • @ilovesilvia69 You can not kick into the groin almost at any time. If you stand more sideways, it is impossible to be hit in the groin. The way is too long. Those who focused too much on the arms, loses the protection of the abdomen.

  • @MegaSmud LMAO, you need a life. You're spewing common ass sense as though it's unknown knowledge. Come over here and i'll prove I can kick you in the nuts. lol

  • @ilovesilvia69 First: the saying "You need a life" is old and worn. Second: before you can kick me, you must first lift your foot off the ground. I can see that. Third: the side stand to protect against kicks to the groin is from Bruce Lee. And I don´t think, he had no idea of martial arts. Fourth: you don´t know me at all. So much for "spewing common ass sense as though it's unknown knowledge".

  • I like what this guy is saying. These 52 Block fighters can probably handle themselves well on the street because like Bruce Lee used to say, "You can't swim on dry land." In other words, you have got to spar and test your techniques out on a live, resisting opponent! That's how you get better.

  • Looking forward to seeing Rashad get his ass KNOCKED OUT when he fights Bones Jones. He's probably a cool guy in "real life"...in fact I am sure I'd enjoy hanging with him. But I cannot stand him as a fighter or the way he carries himself in the octagon.

  • i live in atl and learned 52 blocks being in prison it was called b52

  • Oh ok Thats pretty cool. I would love to learn? Where do you teach?

  • It's interesting how people elude to how a "properly trained discipled fighter" would do to a 52blocks guy.,,the implication is insulting, meaning you 52guys AREN'T disciplined, trained etc. Wow.. It's laugable . Thus system is BASED on real fighting by guys who have DONE IT. I recall how many disciplined fighters got their butts handed to them by the Gracies a few years back..

  • The concept of being able to use your martial art against another person also trained in the same system is the true test, as you pointed out, thus goes across the board in all martial arts.

  • fucking google ads fk youuu

  • I have a question, where does the name 52 blocks come from?

    TIA,

    Mike

  • @MikeySee563 we get the name from a few places the deck of cards that we train with, and the purpose of the number as it relates to the guards we use to defend the body.

  • 52 blocks come from jail

  • @TheMammoth84 Not but it lived there for a spell what we teach is the proper boxing that created the art today

  • @FarisiDaniel I find it funny how catz are questioning the origins of 52 Blocks, but accept various Asian martial arts as 'traditional" even though there are many of them the were created in the 20th century, making them relatively recent creations. Jeet Kune Do would be one of these, but because of Bruce Lee's popularity, no one doubts it's effectiveness.

  • @MrUhuruwarrior999 true, but I don't blame them we love the movies and the culture so no need to believe that people would make up arts and give them old names and try to pass them off as old school. we are growing here so watch out Peace

  • @FarisiDaniel Indeed Bro. I meant no offense to any Asian arts at all, especially Jeet Kune Do. Was just pointing out that I find it interesting that anytime WE of Afrakan descent put anything out there, it's validity is always questioned big time. But no one can seriously doubt the effectiveness of 52 Blocks, as it's been used in UFC by Rashad, and I even saw hints of it in the movie "Never Back Down 2"!!! Is Michael Jai White a 52 practitioner?

  • @MrUhuruwarrior999 Have you seen bruce lee's kicking, punching speed i do mma ju jitsu and muay thai and ive got a freind who does JKD and i can tell you it is effective.

  • @Jamieh321 I've studied JKD since I was 17. I can honestly say that I believe Bruce would have really liked 52 Blocks. Yes, it JKD is very effective but so is 52 Blocks. Remember, Bruce said "Absorb what is useful." And he never meant for JKD to become a "style" and, 52 Blocks can be made to be very personal in its expression, just as Bruce intended for JKD to be.

  • @MrUhuruwarrior999 noone doubts its effectiveness? Most people don't even know what JKD is, but will talk to you about MMA without knowing its the same basic concept.

  • Why would rashad waste his time on this?

  • @disgustika man you're late he came to train before the Tuf fame, every now and then you can see him slip it in

    like the Forrest fight

  • @FarisiDaniel Keep up the good work man. People out there that want to learn, and people need a place to learn at and people to learn from.

  • @Scarecrowman27 thank you and we plan to this will grow and earn it's proper respect

  • Comment removed

  • @Scarecrowman27 you got it bruh when ever you can make through train up peace

  • that guy at 2:50 shadow boxes like a fuckin idiot

  • @kefkomz LOL

  • @kefkomz chillz bruh. its for inside fighting at very close ranges. and 52 isnt just boxing so its going to look a lil wierd.

  • @kefkomz LOL your silly. That is a big boy that is shadow boxing and for his size he has great agility.

  • you wanna know how rashad wins against shogun? not with this 52 crap but with his wrestling. thats how rashad has been winning his last fights.

  • That boxing thing was awsome....Nah...

  • it's simple, you gonna trust a system made by a bunch of untrained, uneducated motherfuckers who were in prison?

Or a system that was comprised over thousands of years and modified over thousands of years and made even MORE effective via modern day MMA?

    That's all I gotta say

    :)

  • @amritaherbs Wow you used a lot of adjectives there bro, and a MF too, maybe you should trying reading about the art instead of focusing on a few people. There are a few who would say that about MMA fighters and trainers, using what has been already proven isn't new. it's just another way of saying that, that old stuff still works. Boxing, Wrestling, Kicking , did I miss something. Come again this is not new we have been fighting on the inside long before Prison. Peace

  • @FarisiDaniel I don't need to read up on it, I've been directed to several vids of "real guys" who are "truly representing" this style and all I see are opportunities to get handed an asswhooping with this style. Especially in regards to footwork.

It doesn't take a wealth of knowledge to know that a properly trained fighter in any number of disciplines could destroy a 52 blocks student with ease. I'm no pro fighter, but I know enough to call BS when I see it.

  • @amritaherbs I couldn't help but respond after reading this. I've been training in martial arts since the age of 10, and am 44 now and 52 Blocks has proven to be as effective and ,in many cases more practical, as all the different styles I've learned over the years.

  • @FarisiDaniel it's biggest downfall is that I've seen no defense in regards to kicks or knees or sweeps and there is way too much hand and arm movement to ever be effective. It's as if they are doing away with the concept of "the fastest way from point a to point b is a straight line"

What is this two armed block for a straight punch? All you need is to parry what comes down the middle, and use Lerdrit style blocks for any thing coming from the outside gate. No need for all those dance moves

  • @amritaherbs this is a in close fighting style so we don't hang out in kicking range and other than flying knees you have to tie up your hands and catch inside shots that will break you. as for the blocking you can parry a jab or cross but try that with a hook or uppercut and you'll be eating your teeth, also if you over cover to block those shots you'll get underhooked and tied up. but you know because you're a fighter, and even if your not you act like one, but it's all good peace

  • @FarisiDaniel yeah you do hang out in kicking range lol

Any number of linear or knee level kicks ala kung fu will catch you from this range.

A Muay Thai round kick will catch you from this range. That's the issue

Look at this stance and "footwork" / watch?v=UbSr2Vx3lyM

Now imagine if this is what he met in the street /watch?v=TCF54IaS9VM

All that head movement and jirating like a raver would be useless

Homeboy wasn't even using all his power/speed ;)

  • @amritaherbs brother intight is not kicking range, those lowline kicks are good for checking the leg, but that close and you give up your base you can end up on your ass, plus hooks are hard to stop that close, head and body. what you think is square is not, but I can see how you would see that because you have already fixed your eyes that way. the hip and the legs are where the power is on a punch and knee kill the body and those blows never come into play. Boxing for the last 250 years we good

  • @FarisiDaniel ur right, that's why 52 blocks is taking over the boxing and mma world. That's why all the top level fighters in the world...are boxers.

You'd never see a knee or elbow (comes faster than a hook) coming.

Go on and get your wig split against a real fighter.

Just stop linking these vids to UFC as if anyone in the UFC has anything to do with this 52 blocks system, or somehow needed some 52 blocks training to be "complete".

When was the last time Rashad fought anyway?

    :)

  • @amritaherbs first off 52 has been in boxing for more than hundred years. look at the last Hopkin fight, and you can't hit with an elbow unlessw you by pass the fist. What's a real fighter you kill me as for the UFC what is Dirty boxing he's a hint it's low end of 52. and Rashad fights in March peace

  • @FarisiDaniel bypassing you fists is easy especially when you know how to work pressure points. All that useless moving of the arms before an attack or trying to confuse someone just leaves the easiest points available which is where I'd throw punches and elbows. A few elbows to lung 6 and lung 8 and the intestine points on the arm and you won't be doin anything with your hands. And when I say a few I mean like 3, tops.

  • @amritaherbs first off not all vitals are activated by pressure and I like how you say a few elbows like your just going to keep throwing blows unanswered. limb destructions are well know in boxing but they come at a price.

you need to stop looking at techniques like that's what happens in a fight. the fact the we are moving means that we have no static target to hit.

  • @amritaherbs I saw the clip Your point is understood Peace

  • @amritaherbs who gives a Fuck how long its been aknowledged. Theres always room for new techniques and fighting methods....And the homies in prison know what there doing if they can survive thier time there. i know niggas in prison thatll eat an mma fighter alive. And its not how old the system is, its how well u can utilize that system in a fight.... so Fuk Asia and their martial arts, its time for niggas to stop biting and learn how to gather up some natural confidence.

  • @hatboy031able You are right about new techniques and methods but what good are they if they don't account for worlds of other methods that will destroy what is pretty much a street style of boxing.

The fact that no practioner of 52 blocks has anything to say about their shortcomings should tell you not to follow these clowns. You "niggas" build that confidence, you're gonna need it when you get ur ass dealt with.

    /watch?v=dTw4yL0R8_8&feature=related 4 min in

  • @hatboy031able had this been real mr 52 would have had his ass handed to him.

And if it was me I would have come crashing in with the clinch work.

He was using ring style muay thai.

I fancy lerdrit and muay boran more so. Allows for more devastation /watch?v=ruZ7eeThQsk /watch?v=5i3Jd5fQrVI

That's what it's supposed to look like

  • wtf man this aint rashad evans

  • @mangoKush12 Indeed it his before TUF and the weight gain

  • Comment removed

  • @mangoKush12 oh thats him!!!

  • And Steven Seagal trained Anderson SIlva and Lyoto Machida,

    52 blocks sucks ass.

  • @shadowcar88 FINALLY! someone with some common sense on these videos

  • @thecrazyoftheinsane :D its fine. If I was a pro fighter (wich I am training on becoming) I would definently take tips from some one with no disrespect. unless it was absolutely ridiculous. that arm trap is something that Rashad has never used in this video XD LOL. 52 blocks is GAY. but we shall see if they evolve :)

  • Hm never heard of this style very interesting though, I will keep eyes on it so many styles on earth never shall a practitioner be amazed by the different styles he fights different moves yet similar heh what is the rap song that you guys begun with though?

    Thanks,

    Zechin

  • i was sooo sure that was rashad evans, but then my black friend told me its just some other black guy.......can you guys switch it up and stop looking the same?

  • Rashad's awesome, he trains hard, and has heart to bring it on for the fans.

His fight against Shogun's gonna be interesting.

I've been a shogun fan since PRIDE FC, and will bet on Shogun,

but i'm not ruling Shad out.

  • @xolloy01 I Agree I think that it will be a good one

  • omfg this shit is ridiculous.

  • how can some1 like me who is in london learn more about this art? great videos btw!

  • @itsapullingdogg thanks on the video, we are slowly building a community in london so you maybe able to reach out to ppl by linking with our facebook page and other outlets

plus stay in contact with me and I'll help guide you through.

  • @FarisiDaniel cool thanks man. its just a beatiful art. and the flow and the strikes are amazin' ok cya around then i guess!

  • @itsapullingdogg no we are coming to London just tryiing to build the ppl that want the skill get them together and then get out thing going

  • @FarisiDaniel wow, sounds good! thats awesome!

  • the only thing your teaching people is how to dance

  • @bms2010 like Sugar Ray Robinson who went 114 n 0 before his first lost, Dancing Like Ali yes dancing there are worst things but dancing I can live with

    peace

  • if you say so, there is no type of technique in this type of fighting

  • @bms2010 Yet we have over 4 million views, and our Best hands DVD is selling. oh well

  • its not even for self defence, who in the hell would ever fight like that in a real fight

  • @bms2010 you seem a little out of the loop as to what makes an art self defense. our practice has survived for more than 250 years some what intact, so if had to work for some body surely you can agree with that, but if not no problem it serves me well

    peace

  • this is not a martial art, i dont care if rashad evans does it

  • @bms2010 you're right it's a martial science

  • Can 52 blocks be mixed with normal boxing?

  • @brownpk82 52 is boxing, not conventional but a style it's own that has shared it's understanding since the 40's with inside fighters like Archie Moore

  • I am very interested in learning 52 blocks. Is there anybody in the Dallas/Ft. worth area that teaches 52?

  • Peace,

How do I order those DVD's you spoke of in the video?

  • @biglock74 you can try at our web site 52blocks.tv

    then reachout to me peace

  • I haven't seen Rashad do any "52" in a fight. ever.

  • @shadowcar88 what you're looking for you have already seen. look at the rampage fight, it's in his funk play, as for the other things that's on his training

  • @FarisiDaniel thats called boxing, not 52.... it was invented long before you were born

  • @sodom87 indeed, but Boxing is more than fighting with fist, plus you have to know how to use the sweet science to gain insight into why we call our stlye of boxing 52

  • he looks so sexy in his sweats, lol

  • @BALAHAWALA what martial art doesnt resemble another? wat untrained eye sees the difference between karate, kungfu, hapkido, tkd, kickboxin and so on and it documented that karate came from kung fu but its credited as its own style...as bruce lee said...as long as men are built the same, their movements will be the same and to some extense,so will their form of fighting so stop h8in cuz its a black dude from the streets promoting this form....

  • @teknaleji100 Good point. Many people dedicate to one style and others study different ones and synthesize their own. My own journey is to take the principles and fit them to my attributes.

Fat lot of good it does in this world of guns, but still the training is good for mind body and spirit.

And the times when I neglected, well life just seemed to really be negative.

  • @anthonysmith73 if you have facebook we have a group called Constellation 52 do a search and join up. We have a team in the DC/MD area that would be glad to give you an introduction to 52 Blocks.

    Peace

  • @BALAHAWALA 52 is not a Martial Art it's a Martial Science, and even by your own statement you agree, that we keep our guards closer to our body. which is how you defend yourself. you see those combination my brother is throwing (Boxing is ours) and 52 is our name for our Boxing

    peace

  • @FarisiDaniel it is clearly it a martial art of its on

  • so how long u been training 52? and have u ever fought someone? like ohter style martial artist?

  • @reporter since 86, I boxed and did karate, Jujitsu, and Kali, and yes I have fought with other styles. But using 52 in a fight you have to not like the person, otherwise you hold back.

  • FarisiDaniel soo is it like boxing? just hands? or do u guys wrestle? or anything? jsut wondering man? and like do u guys ever thinking about using it to fight in a pro?

  • @reporter the inside game in boxing is a throw back to Prize fighting when you could wrestle. We fight in and out of the clinch hooking, catching, and shielding in-tight, when you get it you can play range, but the goal is to close the gap. and bang on the inside, knee bumps, forearms, and blows with the hips and shoulders, head, and fist

  • FarisiDaniel aiight so like so what is 52 man?? like is hand combat??

  • @reporter When we train we use slap boxing helps cats get use to rapid blows and while they work their guards. then we go to the body, so that you learn to shield. then we box inside on the square. So we do fight, trying to get a few people ready. so that we can show n prove

    peace

  • FarisiDaniel okk well who made this style??? and if it was over 200 how come nobody knows about this shit???? i just wanna know man cuz i been hearing about this shit on youtube but never seen u guys fight so i thought it was made up. cuz all the guy does 52 or whaever looks like old fat drunk man no offence.

  • @reporter So I see your fangs have come out. No one man made the style it's culture, and we know about it, not by the name. Each generation changes the name, we kept 52. You are right about the old part our elders are 50 and older, and some are out of shape. But fights are coming spring is here

    peace No offense taken

  • What the fuck is fuckin 52 block man. is this a joke or what? i mean i heard about saying they made this shit for prison shit like that. but who actully train in this ??

  • @reporter first off it's not made up, and yes at one point prison was its home, as was the streets. the Key to 52 is our style of boxing. that began more than 200 years ago in the west.

  • damn man...I feel bad for u..Rashad is ur brother..I mean..u guyz seem to be polar opposites..u seem fairly intelligent in almost every aspect of the word and he's a clown...don't get me wrong he's a good fighter..but it seems like he doesn't take trainin and life seriously...u seem to be a great teacher..hopefully u can rub off on Rashad...respect..1..!!!

  • they guys are a big joke, not more....hahaha u can practice these tecnicues in a street fight with an opponent that have no fighting expiriences but in a real cage they lose....hahaha x) what for a joke!!! hahaha xP

  • you mean these guys, I couldn't stop laughing long enough to take you seriously

  • did you watch rashad whoop up on silva w/the peek a boo? you have no clue!

  • I want to see Rashad Knocked out by Rampage.

  • @BarhatezRevolution, NOT GONNA HAPPEN! SUGA ALL THE WAY!!!!!

  • misleading becaus man in glasses do Silat

  • Not so I mentioned he does silat, and has so for a long time.

  • where ?

  • memphis

  • the title is misleading

  • How so?

  • Congratulations Rashad

  • Yo Daniel whats good fam.. its your boy from Los Angeles Stan. nice work getting the word out on the 52. holla at me when your back on the west coast

    1

  • @ULIKEIT

Peace will do brother hopefully this year

  • What could Rashad have done differently with Machida?

  • Counter instead of initiating, fight smart, learn to hit and not get hit!

  • @rherbe2

range, he stayed on the outside, and he needed to prepare for combinations. Machida kept him offbalance with his range, and attacks

  • Thank the Lord that you are telling all the fakers How it is. The 52's has changed my Life and way of thinking. All because of You Daniel.

  • I feel like theres something im missing, it seems really cool, but at the same time it just looks like you applied Karate, and aikido locks to boxing.

Where do you get your non boxing techniques from? Many of your techniques look like they are from different Japanese arts.

  • it's important to understand that the physics that govern the human body are universal, and as such different groups of people who may not have knowledge of each other can come to the same conclusions. we are also often biased in our interpretation, what looks like karate to you can look like 52 to someone else, and muay boran to another. we learn from context so our view is experiential, however regardless of style at the end of the day 'whatever works, works'.

  • Culturally 52 has elements of wrestling ii it. I've also studied Silat, and Kali. the thing to remember here is that Boxing roots are in what is know as fencing. thus locking the arm or defending a thrown are already built in.

    peace

  • i think they may be from japanese arts.cuz many fighting styles are just a mixture of fighting styles and also many styles have moves that other styles already but ppl think of the same things at different times.

  • @LilBlitz116

Long Before japan became a state\Nation

    Wrestling,

    Peace

  • That clinch work looks applicable to pro MMA fighting. I will have to holler at yall when I come up to NY again. I'm taking my 4th pro fight in January, looking to stay undefeated as a pro.

  • You got it Bruh I'm glad to hear that you still rocking them outs. it's an easy tech to learn. just have to build it in to your game.

  • Another great compilation clip. Love seeing Daniel and Rashad on the mat, and Big K is always fierce with his speed, footwork and balance. Big ups!

  • Is that Rashad?

  • @Narmer yes

  • much respect. thank you for continuing to drop pearls for those who are truly willing to receive it. some great verbal in this. important stuff.
