I love the Bee Gees forever. Maurice was the vital part of the harmonies. Yes, he never took lead but without him the three-part harmonies would not be as distinctive and complex. Plus, he had a fantastic sense of humor, along with his falsetto voice range. Love love love the Bee Gees!

The Bee Gee's are one of the greatest group, I think they put out a sound no one can compare. They have had a lot of lost in their life, First Andy passes on and now Maurice has passed. They are a lengend of their time together. It will be hard to find other to do the work they have done. I hope their family members can take over and have the same talent as they did.

Mourice may not be as notorious when singing, but if one listens carefully she will notice he is in fact the essence of the fine or high tones the bee gees produce... Has anybody remarked that? Mourice is greater than what I thought. (I say "is" because to me he lives in his voice and in this fantastic group's songs)

@ZZJoCa Yeah Maurice explained once that that was how he learnt to play. I think Maurice was the most accomplished musician out of the three. Probably easier to sing those harmonies playing open chords aswell actually.

I remember all their songs use to become hits in the summer whether they were released in the winter or any other season. I remember Nights on Broadway was played a few times in the winter and by summer they played it non stop, at least where I lived in NYC. It was a huge hit and they never stop playing it and nobody got tired of hearing it until the investors of MTV organized that "Disco sucks" thiing in Chicago.

One of my favorite clips of the Bee Gees for sure. They did several takes on this song as part of a melody and i think this is my favorite interpretation of it. I can't think of a better twenty second stretch of harmony(1:47-2:07) that i have seen or heard them do!! They're cuttin' up one minute and then on a dime, they hit their trademark 3-part harmony like.....uh......no big deal!! Vocal talent to die for and one of my favorites!!!

@dalasha Barry is the eldest brother on the right, Robin the eldest twin is in the middle and the younger twin the late Maurice is on the left. Robin was the main singer on a lot of the groups first hits but as they moved more into a soul and disco direction Barry became the dominant vocal force. Maurice was known for his expert harmonising and technical knowledge of instruments and recording equipment. Hope this helps!
