  • Try switching it to 240p and see if that helps. Also, the number you had to call is the same as all of those TBS commercials offering other stuff you can order.

  • I was looking forward to this clip... how did they cram it all into just one second? I only caught a few frames.

  • @Mr73furyIII It wasn't like this when I uploaded it- if they don't fix it soon I'll delete this and put it up again.

  • Try adding &fmt=18 on the end of the URL of this video, it seems to play normally that way.

  • @eyeh8nbc ..hey u need to delete this a put it up again...only lasts a second...

  • @afterthefox Add &fmt=18 to the end of the URL. Don't know why it's doing this, haven't had time to upload stuff lately.

  • "exciting music and pleasing manner" lol

  • That's the best singing African I've ever heard.

  • Holla, Channel 50 Detroit all damn day and all damn night...

  • WFLD Channel 32 (pre Fox) in Chicago used to play this commercial incessantly in the late 1970's. I remember seeing it late at night during shows like The Gong Show and Three Stooges Comedy Classics. I don't know as much about his music as I do this commercial.

  • I have this set of albums. Does the original have the same signature on the back as it does on the front? Looks like it is printed in the cover but wanted to make sure.

I love these albums. My Dad's favorite! Thanks for posting.

  • I first heard Roger Whittaker in the mid 1970's on the local radio station. The local DJ loved it and so did I. I have Roger's tapes and still look for more and newer songs that he might have made.

He is a favorite of mine for certain! Now I want to find his CD's.

  • i remember this along with slim whitman, we bought em for skeet practice,PULL

  • My family actually bought this LP off this very advertisement then played the LP till it died. Still love every song on it.

  • Oh, the memories.

  • I have this LP. I will be entertaining offers for it.

  • and he was born on the same day as my dad

  • This so takes me back to my early high school years in the late 70's when this commercial was all over local tv-and yes, I've also had the flashback when WGN in Chicago used it for their station ID-it's kind of cool to think I'm not alone in having these memory flashes.

  • Ray Raynor would say 10 to Eight, don't be late and then the Whittaker commercial would come on except I recall them claiming he "sold more records than Elvis"

  • FIVE to eight man...i know because i always held off til the last possible minute to get to catholic school

  • Flash Back same in Detroit

  • Thanks for the Flashback!!!

  • My Dad bought this album. What a trip. Thanks for saving this man. That must sound strange, but it brings back memories of my Dad.

  • same here

  • Same here, my dad was really into this album, he bought the 8 track and listened to it alot. Reminds me of my childhood, and now that my dad has passed recently, seeing this commercial and hearing these songs really brings up alot of emotions.

Thanks for posting this clip eyeh8cbs.

  • This is so awesome! I had this commercial running through my head for years!

  • In Hawaii, 536-6677 goes to some engineering department these days.

  • Keep these coming, man! I love these.

  • One of Roger Whitaker's song that started off this mail order commercial: "The Last Farewell", had the starting music of the song used for the WGN Channel 9 Chicago station I.D.'s from 1978-1981.

  • chicken and egg issue, heine. WGN actually used the opening of the last farewell for their IDs.
