  • By any chance, do you know the name of the lego pieces? It's impossible to find them all in brick a brick..

    thank you in advance

  • YOu bought a especific lego car or all the part separately????

  • @shocknorris no sorry this is my old Lego collection. I searched it often in the Internet. Have a try at pickabrick, brick-shop, 1000steine.de, brick-box or so. Can anyone try this with lego mindstorm??? Alternative use a Remotefollow focus from jag35 - its more recommented for commercial shoots =)

  • I fucking love this guy!

  • @Korinkite

I don't normally swear but this is seriously gold. I'm going to use this technique as soon as I can. THANK YOU havok2!

  • @Korinkite very nice with Lego mindstorm ;)

  • @Korinkite thx man :D

  • Some steps are hard to figure out because the contrast of the video is way to high so you cant see any holes or bumps on the bricks.

    Ive got some questions:

0:46 theres this 7 hole brick that belongs on the top of the brick whichs standing sideways. Does it belong to exactly the corner spot or something arround the middle?

0:57 where the heck should i put these 2x1 plates?

  • @MrMloyd @0:46 yeah its at the end of the brick (on the top) and there is on the other Side a 2x1 gap.

@ 0:57 hehe lol the grey rack stands over 2x1 from the long brick and here you had to place the two 2x1 plates. You can also use bricks that are 2x1 longer but I don't own one. Looks instable but it works. Hope it helps =)

  • @havok2 Hallo,

Vielen Dank trotzdem.

    Gruß, Max

  • So I actually made this, and it's pretty awesome. I'm having a little trouble getting it to actually rotate the focus on my T3i's 18-55mm lens, but after watching your demonstration video again, I think its because mine has very little to grip to. Nonetheless, AWESOME creation, I'm going to keep messing with mine till it works! Thanks for creating it! To anyone who's interested, i encourage you to make one of your own. :)

  • @theranmage UPDATE: Hey everyone, I added a video showing my lego follow focus (check out my response video ) After waking up this morning, my dad suggested flipping the fine adjustment wheel (which controls the focus). After doing this, the whole thing works wonderfully! I went through everything in my video for those of you who are wanting to do the same thing. Thanks again Havok2!

  • wat does it do

  • @jordan90369 smoothes your focusing without spinning the camera ^^

  • this is too cool.

  • @DulceJaja Thank you!

  • What software did you use to create the animation?

  • This is seriously awesome.

im gonna hit up my local lego store tomorrow and see if icna find these pieces :D

  • your a genius is there a certain lego kit you can buy that has all the parts? or just gotta mix and match packs?

  • didn't fit on my canon 35mm f2. :(

  • Thanks for this!

  • Btw, could you put mm measures on the cross axles (the sticks)? Thank you

  • @chrismastere From top to buttom: 15mm, 23mm, 31mm, 40mm, 47mm & 80mm. In LEGO you say: 2x,3x,4x,5x,6x an 10x - greets.

  • @havok2 Is it possible you could create a list here: shop(dot)lego(dot)com/PAB/. That would be really great. Thank you

  • @chrismastere that, indeed, would be great!!!

  • @chrismastere can you do the list please?

  • I am so happy I live in Denmark, I just drive 60km to the LEGO factory in Billund and but all this stuff and then go home and build it. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, and I will do everything I can to spread it.

  • as a lego fan/previous lego addict and filmmaker i'd just like to say that this is both brilliant and amazing, i just hope i have the parts to make one. thanks

  • hallo...

    super geiles teil...respekt!!

    ;)

besten dank für die idee und alles

  • You can find a URL to a parts list to this video in my video response.

  • I love all, the idea, the making, the sharing, the animation, the rendering. With what app did you ani/render?

  • also really hard to see whats going on the black is hard to see but amaxing

  • howd you do the 3d?

  • Sorry - I have no list, with numbers or so... I build it with my parts from my very old Lego-models.

  • Can you please post a parts list? As much as I love your 3D animation, without a parts list, it's going to be difficult to find specific parts. Thanks in advance!

  • Don't listen to the haters dude, this is AWESOME! There's people out here who appreciate your work!

  • @laughmafia =)

  • Awesome. I'd like to see it in use though.

  • @aWingThingMilwaukee please read the description below, there is the link =)

  • that, my friend was Freak'n COOL!!!

  • Awesome job. Where can I buy those Lego pieces ? I'll save a lot of money with this system. Thank you.

Habe mich bereits mit Lego kurz geschlossen, mal schauen was man mir antwortet.

  • amzing work dude!

  • Amazing! This is a real usefull turoial for a no budget filmers who are looking for good results. Briliant aninmated!

  • Makes you wonder if there's anything that can't be done with LEGO!

This is amazing, if I can scare up all the parts I'm definitely going to give this a try.

Thanks for posting this info and the other video of the demo.

  • It is cool that people click don't like and dont comment why. Feedback is very helpful. This is a 12 hour work and the computer needed 16 hours to render it. =(

    THX anyway...
