  • This Heli is hell, its my only RC toy with Chrystal receiver and after many crashes I had yesterday a first successful flight. And once landed and stoped, I told myself thats enought for today and by mistake I switched off the Tx and it got crazy/crashed....

  • I was having trouble getting my Gyro set for my HBFP heli cause i didnt realize that adjustments had to be made at half throttle. And so far.....this video was the only one that i found that pointed out...."Half Throttle". THANK YOU MUCH...!!!!

  • Dave.....Thank you so very much for doing this video. You are the only one i was able to find on youtube to actually explain the proper set-up of the Gyro.....and when i say proper set-up....i mean....to actually explain the procedure of the pot adjustment and the function of each pot.

  • Hello, I have HBFP and got an idea of using a Electrifly V-pitch plane propeller system for the tail rotor by using a Y-connector for the tail motor to integrate with the main and the servo to the mixer.Just an idea and im not gonna do that, please answer

  • How much throttle does your honey bee lift up with when the throttle trim is set to lowest position?

    Thanks, michael :)

  • Why did they say it wouldnt work ?? Its an awesome idea :D and i love problem solving!

  • hi, DAve i rwally like ur shows. do U KNOW ANY WEB SITE WHERE U CAN BUT HELICOPTERS AND RC PLANE. CAN U PLS TELL ME A WEBSITE WHERE U HAVE TO BULID EVERYTHING. thANK U

  • hi there, great training vid,

ima rookie at this stuff and i have to replace the front servo on my HBK2, and im not sure how to set it back up correctly. would you have some tips or a video on this. that would be great if you do thanks. ange, melbourne, australia.

  • Comment removed

  • can u do a revw of honey bee cp3

  • do you have any heli for sell

  • Hi, great video, helped me alot. Just wondering, i crashed my honeybee cp2 the other day and only the blades broke. I am having difficulty finding where to buy replacement blades. I live in Australia. Any advice or help in regards to finding a supplier which sells the correct sized blades would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to look on ebay but they all seem to be the incorrect size?

    Thanks again. =)

  • Dave I see you do quite a few Nitroplanes and XHeli product reviews. I have also read horror stories about these two companies and Banana Hobby on RC Universe. My questions being are you a "sponsored" pilot for these two companies or do you purchase each product to review? I am curious because like I said I read a lot of bad stuff but you seem to have a lot of "luck" and never said much about customer support. To buy from or not to buy from that is the question!

  • Hi Dave......How do you secure the flybar to stop it from 'twisting' on a Honey bee CP2? There are no grub screws underneath the paddle control frame...(?). Also, there are 2 sets of flybar weights ( different sizes ). Which ones go against the paddles and which ones to the paddle control frame? Thanks....

  • Greay Video..However, I am just confused when you called the Idle-Up switch as Throttle Hold Switch.. All I know that Throttle hold is to shut off the motor and this is also similar to Throttle Cut..?

  • thanks...is the exceed eagle 50 ok for your first trainer cp heli?...dont really care about alot of 3D now

  • Hi Dave, need your help in setting up my heli. The problem is that after 85% to 100% throttle the motor slows down and the heli starts to come down from hover, to fix that i saw a video which talks about too much pitch on blades and need to reduce it so i do that by unscrewing the servo rods connecting to swashplate all 3 of them togather so once thats done the heli won't lift up and the pitch is 0 at center stick and the blades are tracked. whats the issue here???

  • HI nytflyer. I was thinking of stepping up into these helis. I have a coaxial nw. Wat do u think is better, a walkera 22e or this honey bee cp2?..

and wat is the diff between a ppm and cppm?

    thanks..

  • hi can anyone help me i bought a cp2 the other day i have a problem the rear lettle rota blade spins the whole rod (sorry i dont no the fancy words im new) is the a bolt i have to tighten to stop it from moving thanks.

  • what do you meen rod

  • its ok mate i ment boom but iv put a bit of super glue on and its fixed now had a little crash lol thanks anyway

  • hi Dave my honey bee cp2 keeps going all over the place what should i do

  • Hi Dave, can you you tell me, I have always been using an 11.1v lipo battery for my honeybee fp instead of the 8.4 nimh. Can I do the same and use the 11.1v lipo in a lama v4?

    Cheers

  • How do you do inverted flight with the honey bee king 2

  • Whats the diffrent between CP2 and HB king 2?

  • The King II has a Belt driven tail and the CP2 is E.T.R.M.. I don't own either heli but I would get the King II just because it is belt driven.

    Hope that helps.

  • nice!

  • Do a half loop, then reverse the pitch at the top when your upside down. Of course 5 controls are now reversed and worse when you coming at you, but it also has to have the 3D switch on. Shut the motor down with the throttle hold switch, so the pitch runs, but not the motor, and ease it down like a maple seed. Timing is important at the end and usually ends in tail boom strike by the blades, I never practice that and never jump out of perfectly good airplanes either.

  • @NightFlyyer sorry run that by me again LOL

  • Great clip!

I've been struggling with my honey bee since day one. All the tips on setup and balancing are great, and the throttle fixing switch is a revelation, its jus not in the manual.

  • Thanks. Leave the throttle switch alone, when learning. It wont help much on this heli. The 3d switch, you can use, only once in the air and use it for loops, etc, but also it gets most in trouble. It just switches the pitch to 0 at half throttle and locks the motor on wide open.

  • on the ETRM speed control now days does the tail rotor completly shut off? or does it just slow way down

  • It usually will get very slow, and mine shuts off all the way and that is kinda where to set it again. See my latest HB setup video for more.

  • Thanks for the informative videos. I've been working my way through all of them!I am looking for some clearification though. I notice that you adjust your colective pitch by adjusting the three servo rod lengths. I've been trying to do it (on my Heli-max Axe which seems to have the same head set up) by adjusting the link that runs between the flybar and the blade grips.

What is the difference between the two methodes beside mine probably being wrong... :)

    Thanks!

  • Its the same adjustments. Just adjust them only slightly, as too much pitch will bog the motor down and it wont get off the ground.

  • Wow the flying at the end of this video is some of the most insane. @wesome expert Piloting i have EVER seen.

I wish I could do that.

  • Keep practicing and make sure you have your checkbook out and you will. Thanks.

  • Doing it on the servos would be better I think. Thanks for the kind support.

  • good day to you Mr. Herbert ,i have a question cause i have seen all your modification, and you teach some techniques and giving good advises,i have a cp2 and i want to change the main motor to brushless motor together with ESC could it be happen without causing a problem?

  • Thanks. Well you cannot use the mixer in the 4 in 1 very well as the ESC is built in. You would not be able to plug in an ESC into for brushless, as the tail rotor has to be controlled too. It would be a chore, I think. Not impossible, but not worth the trouble. A spare motor is just fine as it works fine. My original motor is still working after over a year.

  • do you made a prototipe ? :o

  • A protoype of what? I have made lots of prototype helicopters, if that is what you mean.

  • The video's great! Thank you for providing such an informative resource.

I bought a CP2 used for my sons and it doesn't fly. Blades seem to tilt the wrong way when powering up. We get plenty of spin but no lift. Air flows down. Adjusted rods a touch but no different. Any suggestions? Servos seem to be moving ok up and down. Blades just never tilt the right way.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Thanks. If the throttle hold switch is on, it will always blow down. DO not fly with this on, til you learn to fly normal. IF it always blows down, then you need to reverse the switches on the Transmitter to make the servos go the right way. They all are supposed to move the same direction when you push the stick up, causing the trailing edge of the blades to go down. If the motor is spinning backwards, that can be reversed with the plug on the receiver. That can cause reverse air flow.

  • Great Vid!!

  • Thanks very much.

  • IMPORTANT: Watch out for the black carbon blades going for sale on ebay for the HBCP2. I had lift problems (no lift) with these blades. I thought i had tech problems with my hbcp2 but when i weighed the carbon blades they were 15 grams+ but the wood blades are 9-10 grams. It makes a big difference to the performance. Hope this helps you guys. HAPPY FLYING

  • Your right. Be careful of all the hype in so called upgrades as there is a lot.

  • if only I'd seen your excellent videos before attempting to fly my king 2, maybe I wouldn't have had to replace the rotor blades?

  • hi dave,i just broke the tail rotor housing on my honeybee fp.how can i get it off to replace it with a new part?it seems to be glued onto the boom so i`ve no idea how to get it off!if you can give me any advice that would be great, many thanks,darren.p.s.love your videos, thinking about getting the blade 400 that you talked about so well

  • Hi Dave me again Just to say thanks again for all your great advice. I have a honey bee king 2 and a honey bee fp. am using the FP to do my training on. I managed my first hover today albeit just for a few seconds as was in my living room. But it was possible because I set it up the way you explained. it felt good! cant wait to take it up to our local hall.

  • Hi,

Thanks kindly. Sounds like your doing it all the right way. It is difficult to fly in tight spaces because the "wind rotors" bounce off the walls, etc and really create turbulence back on the heli, making it more difficult to fly. When you get to a place with space you will find it very enjoyable. Good luck.

  • how to install the honey bee tail motor?

  • Take off the prop and pull out the main big gear and shaft. Then un solder the wires. Then unscrew the 2 screws from the motor and pull it out. Voila!

  • how do i connect the wires? melt them together?

  • Yes, they must be soldered back on.

  • all i can say is can you set my heli up for me lol. .....

  • Thanks kindly.

  • was that you flying at the end? AMAZING flying regardless...

  • No sir, that is Alan Szabo. Thanks.

  • Where did you get your lazy susan and if you made it could you show how you made it.

  • Kmart

  • hey Dave can you send me your 9 tips please...?

    Sean

  • hey Dave can you send me your 9 tips please...?

    Regs Dean.

  • On the way in a PM.

  • thanks, guess what, i killed them too. oh well never mind more on the way, im not giving up, its alot harder than i ever thought but it will be worth it.

    thanks again

  • Study my 9 heli tips and take your time.

  • hey dave plz can you send me your 9 tips :D thanks in advance

  • i just got the honey bee cp2, killed a set of blades already, i got a couple of replacements that are a tiny bit shorter will this cause any problems? im just starting to learn about this so watching your videos is helping

    thanks

  • Bummer about the blades. Its all part of the very hard learning curve. Shorter blades will spin faster, and actually may help. Thanks for your kind remarks.

  • which heli would u prefer? the belt-cp or honeybeeking2? or the version 3 of the beltcp or hbk?

  • Well it depends on your skill level. The king II is very difficult to learn on. V3 of the belt is a nice one.

  • I am pretty comfertable with flying a 3 channel heli and i do learn quickly.

  • i am also beginner and i just got King 2, but i plan to do some sim time before i take out flying.

  • im planning on getting the king 3 with the Simulator or a belt-cp

  • this is a comment reply.. which helicopters do you have

  • uhh i have one lol but the battery is broken... and its not really a popular heli.. its called Huan Qi 3ch heli..

  • Wow...what an easter egg at the end of this video! I've never seen flying like that before!

  • Hi,I have the honey bee cp2,but I am looking for a upgrade.

I have a choice of Belt cp or Honey bee king2.

Any suggestion on what to choose?

  • The HB king 2 would NOT be my choice. See my video on it.

  • Electric motors can turn both ways why not use reverse to make it yaw both ways effectively ?

  • Never mind its fixed pitch and the rotor blade only works in one direction.

  • Your right, and it would have to instantly stop and start many times, eating up battery power. Good thinking though!

  • im thinkin bout gettin a honey bee mk3 i hear its a good heli u should get one and make a video bout it :]

  • It is the exact same as my Piccolo and I have 2 of those already! (see background pictures on my channel) It is shown flying in one of my videos. The MK3 is good for learning on. Take my word for it.

  • can you make a video of the belt cp v2 thiers only videos of the normal cp

  • Sorry, I don't have one and really don't have plans of buying one. I'm doing a review on the Blue Ray 450 next. Stay tuned.

  • whats the diference betwin mk3 and cp2?

  • MK3 has fixed pitch and best for learning.

The CP2 has Collective pitch and can do mild 3d.

  • wats better yje honey bee cp2 r teh honey bee mk3 c/b thanx

  • Both are good, but I think learning on a Mk3 is best. If you never crash it, you can always move up.

  • Oh my God, thank you so much Dave! I have been enlightened on RC heli flight! Especially on that tail rotor! What better advice than from the guy who invented the damn thing haha! Thanks Again!

(Vote Best Tutorial video on Youtube!)

  • Thanks very kindly. I appreciate that.

  • Hi Dave,

I bought two months ago a HB CP2, but I can´t fly it. I´m crazy, because it moves from side to side and I use to broke parts every day. I have a LAMA V4 and I can fly it very well. Please help me with basic instructions, etc. I saw all of your classes but this heli is crazy. Thanks

  • Flying an RC model HELI is about the same as trying to balance a BALL BEARING in SPACE! You move it slightly, and you have to do EVERYTHING YOU CAN (moving all 7 CONTROLS AT ONCE) just to get it stopped, let alone trying to GET IT BACK to you!

Then, if the nose is pointing at you, 4 of those controls are REVERSED.

So Park this for a while and learn on a VW, (MCX or other) and if you never crash it, then get the Porsche! Im sendin my 9 heli tips in a pm. Good luck.

  • Hi Dave

I bought a CP2 almost a year ago and have no idea how to fly it - please send me any and ALL tips you may have to get me started.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Okay, away in a PM. Also, See my newest video, (up later tonight) on How to fly an RC helicopter for more.

  • I do so appreciate your time devoted to the editorial videos on these helicopters. I have learned much from them! I have two HBFP's, two CP2's and a Belt-CP. Again, thanks so much! Jerry D Gaines

  • Thanks very kindly for your coments. I appreciate that. Good luck with your helis.

  • can the honybee invert fly

  • Not very well. None of the ETRM helis are very good for 3dimensional stunt flying.

Thanks kindly for your comments. I appreciate them.

Dave Im BLOCKED from replying to my own videos AS MYSELF, till YouTube figures out what went wrong and how to fix it.

    Therefore, I am answering as:

    Dave :-) (AKA Nightflyyer)

  • you said at 00:17 that you invented ETRM tail rotors. really?

  • Yes I pioneered the idea, as documented in many of my videos. Thanks kindly for your comments. I appreciate them.

  • I see, yeah i agree honey bees are pretty cheap and well easy to control. and thanks for the suggestions, i really apreciate that! =D

  • Which one rc helicopter do you recommend for a beginner? 4 channel or 6 channel heli? and which rc heli do you think is the best(good) brand, i heard honey bee's are much more popular, what would you suggest? Thx! =D

  • I like Honeybees, as parts are readily available and cheap. The FP version is best to learn on. Like, learn on a VW, and if you never crash it, then you can always move up to a Porsche. Also Study my 9 heli tips and rules of thumb. If you dont have em, then tell me and I will PM them to you.

  • Hey Dave =p im from a faraway land from yours. I wish to have your 9 heli tips and rules of thumb. please send them to me will ya. Thanks for the help =D

  • On the way in a PM. Thanks.

  • whats the heli rules you go by?

  • My own. Ill send them to you in a PM.

  • man you very smart and very nice good job!

  • School of hard knocks. THanks very much.

  • allways love your vids!!!

  • Thanks kindly.

  • Ok. after i check all things. it seem ok. But when i went to the shop, the guy told me, that it wrong Mode. it should be in Mode 2. How do i switch it to the right Mode?

  • You cannot change the mode on the stock radio. Sorry.

  • I having issue with my HB. It seem when I get it to hover, and used the right stick, it drop to the ground. What is the cause? I have full battery and I check everything. Is the controls set on my transmitter wrong. Can you email your transmitter setting ( the front switch & inside the transmitter {Dip Switches }. Thank you

  • Those settings are listed below here somewhere in the comments. Usually nobody messes with the Dip switches so they should not be touched, unless you already moved them. Was it always like that?

  • Actually, they are in the description to the right of the video.

  • Hi Nightflyyer, i was wondering when you crash, if the wood blades fold up, or if they just snap. I also want to know if the four channal honeybee is any good.

  • The 4 ch HB is great to learn on. I haven't broken any blades, even on my Blade 400's first crash....see the repair video and you will see the blades. The Plastic blades usually break easier.

  • thanks nightflyyer

  • Hey! I asked for a honey bee cp2 for my birth day...i just wanted to know if it is possible to fly the helicopter with out any setup or tune, as if it has been just taken out of the box?

    Thanks!

  • Mine flew fine out of the box. I would not try to mess with any settings, to make it easier, as it wont. See my 9 heli flying tips for more insight.

  • Thanks! A very good how to! I just purchased a Honey bee and the RealFlight simulator to learn - thanks to this I know how to properly use the Heli! /Andy

  • Thanks kindly. Enjoy your machine and have fun. Make sure to study my 9 heli flying tips for more insight.

  • Hi M. Hebert, I moved my servo pitch arm to the first hole of my servo arm (center) do you think it is too much ? Also, 1 of my servo is doing a "clik, clik, clik" sound when fully extend, is this normal (it was also doing it before I moved the link). BTW thanks for your 9 tips, I am practising a lot and learning a lot !

  • Moving the arm to the closest hole to the center, decreases the throw, and makes less pitch. It may be too less on that. Clicking in a servo, means a tooth on the gear is broken and it is no longer safe to use. Dont give up.

  • iv sorted it after watchin ya video it was pitch i turned all 3 servo arms 4 times clockwise and now it flies :) but just took end of blade off due 2 wind :( but cp2 ok ill order new blades n wait 4 calm day :)

    thank you super video ,,,

  • Great. Hang in there and good luck. Thanks for the comments.

  • video uploaded if u get time will u have a look please

    regard and thank you again

  • i just done vid will u av look please wen it finished uploading me ant got a clue thank you :)

  • mine came 2day charged battery and the tail motor wont spin up :( iv checked that everything pluged in etc ,,,,

  • Send it back.

  • PS, it doesn't spin up till it gets to half throttle or so, and you must turn on the TX first with all controls down. When the light turns steady, then you can move it. Also make sure the plug is plugged all the way into the receiver.

  • i got new 1 2day same prob done everything ok but wont take off just stays on floor :(

  • Are you sure the rotor blades are on the right way and the blades are spinning clockwise? Do not fly it with the 3d switch on. Can you make a video and send it to me, so I can see more?

  • PS, Remember the tail motor wont spin till it is about half throttle.

  • ill do vid later off out soon,,,but everything spinning ok but no flight and both top switches pushed back just dont know why it wont fly:(

  • hi dave i'm getting the honey bee cp2 for my b-day i can almost drave most rc vechiles so far such as boats cars and nearly planes but i've only tried the picco plane which i find fairly easy control but are these extremely hard to fly and damage easily(e.g rotor blades, tail)?

  • also can u send me the nine tip in a pm

  • ON the way.

  • Well, most people, cant master it. It means moving 7 controls, all the time and all at once. When the heli is facing you, 4 of those controls are reversed. But with persistence, money and lots of crashes, you will succeed, if you don't give up. Remember, there is no real heli that can take a crash, so dont expect that from a model, which is way more delicate, because it has to be light enough to fly.

  • Cool I'am Gettig a Honey Bee CP2.

    Keep up the good work=)

  • Thanks and good luck. Do you have my 9 heli tips/ They may give you more insight.

  • Dear Dave, i have a gyrotor heli which is just a few months old. recently i broke a stick which used to stick out in its tail below its tail rotor. eventually it started spinning clockwise uncontrollably and just today after one flight it stopped responding to the transmitter. though when i switch on the heli the front light glows showing the working of the machine. please help...it is one of my most favourite helis...i just cant let this happen to it. thanks a lot in advance.

  • Bummer. Well, if the tail rotor stick broke, that has nothing to do with the tail rotor. It is there to keep the tail rotor from hitting the ground. However, if you crashed and the tail rotor hit at all, it can burn out that tiny motor almost immediately. Also a tiny hair in the works can prevent it from turning fast enough. There is not much you can do to fix it. If you hold it in your hand and run it up, does the tail rotor spin? Is the prop on right? Sorry. Main blades cracked or chipped?

  • Thanks Dave..but i have checked everything..the main rotor blades, the tail rotor, and there is no hair too. wot does prop on mean? i noticed that the moment i start it, it starts to spin clockwise and i have to trim it all the way but then it hardly turns to the left. earlier when i used to turn it left it would very swiftly turn but now...sorry for the pains i m causing to you..i m still a newcomer to this field though i have a good hand on the havoc and the blade CX2.

  • oops it was just the wrong band. but the violent clockwise spinning continues...can u suggest any mods to keep it stable. thanks

  • Hey Dave, I'm new to rc flight... as in never flown anything really except my havoc. Got realflight and was training to fly my big trainer plane and got interested in the heli's. Want to ask if you can send me your 9 heli tips cause I might buy one after training on the sim. Thanks and great videos! learned lots from them.

  • Thanks kindly. My 9 tips are away in a PM to you. Good Luck.

  • hi, very helpfull video you have here, but I have a problem with my HB CP2. After several test and adjustment, both main motor and tail motor wouldn't run everything else is working fine. And after I watch closely, the mixer light was steady red even after calibration is done ( usually green). I don't know what the problem and how to fix it, or should I get a new mixer?? Please help

  • Thanks. Usually your problem relates to the throttle stick not all the way down, the throttle trim switch not all the way down or the throttle hold/3d switch not off. If any of those are not right, the motor wont run, so it is a safety factor, not allowing it to all of a sudden start up full throttle in your face. If none of that is the problem, it is most likely a burned out speed controller in the 4 in one. That happens from crashing and not shutting off the motor fast enough.

  • Hi awesome video. It's helped me heaps with my heli setup and trim. I was getting the porportion all sweet in ground effect but was unable to get to eye level. Anchoring the heli and those little bags look like a real good idea. thanks for postin such a helpful video

  • Thanks kindly. Glad it helped. Actually, those little bags are totally wieghtless and I have a box end wrench lying across the landing gear. The orange floates are on all my helis to make it easier to see up in the sky, as thier is not much to be able to stay orieneted with, if doing 3d or flying far away. Check out my video "Stealth Helicopters" to see how I made them. Again, Thanks for the kind comments.

  • Hey Dave/ Mr. herbert.

First time flyer here and have got a few questions. Ive been tinkering alot with my honeybee trying to get it set right To hover. I had to Replace main Blades and put the upgraded skid on it from Buzz Flyer. But now my tail rotor seems too powerful. I have the gain at 0 and the Proportion at 0... and still my heli's nose turns to the right? Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Many thanks, J

  • Welcome. Well, the zero will not work on the 4 in one. It has to be adjusted closer to the center. If you have too much pitch or the heli has become heavier, the tail rotor motor will not have enough power to keep it from turning.

Also, it will always turn on the ground and will not be trimmed right til you have it up to eye level hover. I will send my 9 heli tips in a PM and hope that helps.

  • Oh, I forgot to ask.

Which heli is better for a beginner that is upgrading from a coax, the Blade CP or the Honey Bee CP2?

  • I think the Honeybee fixed pitch would be best, then the HB cp2,

  • dear Dave, i have a honeybee mark 3. i have lost its battery but have another 2cell 7.4v 850mah lipo battery. can it be used for the heli? i dont remember how many mah the original one had. thanks a lot for the help.

  • That Battery will work fine. The Original "LIPO versions" were 800 MAH.

  • thanks a lot Dave.

  • I'm upgrading from a Lama v4 to a Honey Bee CP2 soon.

I'll be viewing this video when i get it! Thanks for the helpful information!

  • Your welcome.

  • Oh right! That is a great observation sir! I'll brainstorm some more. I'll keep you informed how it goes. Thanks so much for your advice!

    God bless!

  • Thanks and your very welcome.

  • I'd like to request your 9 tips as well. I have started to fly on this CP2, atm just trying to keep it in one place on the ground while pushing throttle. Is it normal that it wants to go to one side (I think left)? Thanks in advance.

  • Tips away in a PM. Hopefully this will explain more. You have to control it, not let it control you. There is nothing normal about flying an rc heli. They are too difficult to master for most who try. You must never give up and expect crashes as an important part of the learning curve. It helps to have help, as you would never jump in a real one and think you could fly it. Self learning is difficult. Good luck.

  • In your opinion sir, without going into counter-rotors, what heli would be a better candidate for mechanics for scale models of this small size?

  • The Honeybee CP2 would be a good choice, as it still is an ETRM, which you can mount anywhere on the tail without belts or mechanics.

  • Oh, Ok. I'll try to get the body, maybe light as the canopy, as structurally possible and modify the mechanics to use only the bare essentials, to be as light as possible as well and maybe use a more powerful motor, keeping in mind keeping it well ventilated. In any case, I'm not expecting 3d aerobatics from a scale model, I would be happy to get that "Night Stalker" off the ground. (",)

... "tinkering is half the fun!"

    Thanks so much sir!

  • May I ask a question sir?

Can I put a scale body on the honey bee CP?

I have a 1:35 MH60 Black hawk scale model that I would like to "get airborne". I wonder if its ok to use the Honey bee mechanics?

  • The weight the HB can handle is marginal. If the body you have is only a couple of ounces heavier than the Canopy on the HB, then it will work. If it is more than 2 ounces heavier, you will find it hard to hover and motors will get hot.

  • Thank you so much sir for explaining how ETRM works. They have their strengths and weakness but they are a hoot to fly when done right. And because they are relatively cheaper to produce, they bring a lot more people into the heli-hobby! ... and that is a good thing! Thank you so much for inventing them!

    Cheers!

    Noel(",

  • Thanks very kindly. Yes they are a hoot to fly once a person learns. I love my Honeybees too.

  • This video is very very good. All my doubts about my honey bee were solved. Thanks for sharing your know how.

  • Thanks kindly. Good luck.
