  • every video has to have a negative comment, even a fucking ice fishing video?! PATHETIC

  • People like you clowns ruin bass fishing.

  • wow hey lets catch 5 blugill that are not even big and shoot a video that sucks congradulations

  • so true... like my hydrologist grandpa always says "if u want big blugill u need 14-15 inch bass"

  • hey cool video. I live about 15 miles west from chicago but never ice fished. always wanted to so what is the best all around bait?

  • why don't they release bass into the lake? great vid btw!

  • Hey, nice video. I'm from (east) central illinois also. Yep, the ice last year was good and thick most of last winter. Maybe we'll have some thick ice this year too. I generally don't like crowds but with ice fishing, it's okay. Those flashers are great, aren't they?!!! Mine has helped immensely. I still have to move around some and drill some holes but I know, almost immediately, if I'm over productive water or not. I haven't gotten skunked yet (when using waxies, anyway).

  • dude u should have let her fight the catfish but instead u grabbed the line and fought it for her if u did that to me i would be so fucking pissed

  • if u think a fish that is a foot long is 19 inches u r freaking retarded

  • Must stink to fish in holes . i live in florida im so lucky.

  • @UFmobster no its acually really fun

  • I have never iced fished

  • cute rods. haha

  • wow a lots of fish there

  • those are some good size bluegills, very nice

  • Why don't you guys release the bass?

  • Nice video. Heck, didn't realize that central IL got cold enough to ice fish. Was amazed to see someone had a flasher.

  • @Joe271828 HAHAHA what??? it gets cold as bricks here in the winter. Its not cold as long as it is further north but it still gets pretty chilly here. in December till about Mid Feb.

  • No one knows everything about fishing. Anyone that says they do is fucking stupid. Nice vid by the way

  • we'll never know everything there is to know about fishing

  • Exactly. So people commenting negatively on this vid should quit acting like they do

  • I think bill is holding his rod upside down

  • Why are you guys arguing. If you know the guy is an asshole just leave it at that. Great vid though man looks like you guys had a blast. I finally get to go out on the ice this weekend and I'm pumped. Fishing is just another one of those great wonders in life, so keep doing it up!

  • nice video

    wer r u guys fishing

  • Cool, but you guys should be carefully of that ice it looks unsafe!!!!

  • now thats ice fishin

  • Looks like you guys gottem!!that cat and those Bluegill are nice eating!!!nice little pond there!!

  • what were you using for bait, PLEASE REPLY BACK

  • Probably shiners..

  • lmfao. that looks really fun. i just thought wot if u hook a fish bigger that the hole?lol still tho. id love to give that a go

  • that looks like unsafe ice!

  • nice fishing :}

  • The beauty of ice fishing is that anyone can do it. The only thing you need is a plastic Barbie fishing rod/reel, some cheap line, a randomly-selected lure and a hole in the ice! No skill required! Even a five-year-old can do it!

  • and then the 5 year old falls in the ice O.o

  • there is some skill when you want to catch bigger and different types of fish

  • actually, it's alot harder than you think. What's with the hate on Ice Fishing? Like seriously, its a widely used means of fishing..

  • Yeah, it's just sooo difficult.

  • If you are going to be ignorant like that, then all fishing is easy as hell. I mean, get a stick, get some string, dig up a worm and find some water and boom you are set. So really you are stating that all fishing isn't a challenge, when in reality, it IS a challenge. You just need to appreciate it. It's assholes like you that really wreck it.

  • Look, junior...I've been fishing since before you were born. Deep sea, channel, river, fly, bass...you name it, I've fished it. But, drilling a hole in an ice cube and pulling guppies out of it is absolutely no challenge to me. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

  • did your dog die or something because your kind of on a crazy, I think I know everything there is to know about ice fishing rant. And when did they ever say ice fishing is the hardest type of fishing in the world...their just fishing man, your the kind of person who wrecks it...

  • Dude, wtf? I was talking to jimmybyrght...

  • haha, I've done that except I did use fishing line. Even easier is just a 10foot piece of line with a tiny black fly tied on the end of it. Hold one end and walk down the dock a bit and then pull up a blue gill. Note: didn't get quality fish and this lake has a large bluegill population.

  • @jimmybryght i think they have a name for people like you.... Douche.

  • Try Pampers.

  • @samhawkeye we have a name for u ..Asswipe

  • @danielscanlan34 wasnt talking to you dude so slow your roll asshole

  • did the dumbass holding the camera say ''do u gotta gaph him'' WTF

  • where are you fishing at?

  • Central Illinois. At a friends lake

  • you real is waird

    cool fishing 5/5 vid

  • you're spelling is weird.

  • lol thats my brothers comment. he only 9

  • what kind of bait do you use and i use alot of blue gill to catch cod and 5 to 6 foot cat fish but what bait did you use?

  • what part of illinois is that

  • and y dont u let the bass go?

  • wow 2:55 i tohught it wus like a HUGE fish -_-

  • nice 5*

  • awesome vid 5\5

  • adding on to my other comment if you are on that ice make sure it isnt contracting or has existing cracks because that can weaken it

  • a person can go on 2 inches of ice...although i would not

  • We actually don't have big bass in there. We keep that pond overcrowded with 14-16" bass to keep bluegill recruitment down. That is a key to having an awesome bluegill pond! That pond is loaded with 7-10" bluegill.

  • do u have big bass in there

  • wow that ice looked thin.

    How deep is that pond/lake?

you should of drilled holes in the deeper parts for the big bass.

  • Actually sniper, the bigger bass of a lake tend to cruise the shoreline in much shallower water this time of year. I catch the biggest bass of the season in typically 4-6 feet of water along the weed edges. Action is much slower, but very rewarding if you catch the right day.

  • looks like fun where were you
