The stuff most people notice is from the idiot who heard about it and then thought "ill do that" and just used sand or something. The proper grit is sprayed on with high power during growth, its inside the bud. Most people I know dont understand the danger it can cause so they smoke it anyway (so the demand stays). And people who work with silica dust die all the time...Ive even smoked it. Lungs burned like hell.

Hair? You talking about hasch? I was in Christiania, Denmark a month ago and while I was buying Orange Haze I saw some sort of haschish (something Jamaican I think) with some kind of "hair" which is probably not hair.. so I don't think it's anything to worry about :)
Hair. A friend scored some mexican brick weed. He decides to water cure it to bring back some shape and pull out impurities like fertilizer. Hair was found in the water. Lots of it. It was disgusting. Fuck cartel crap. Buy local.
i've never seen weed cut with glass... but to go to the question of why you would "dispoil your market", some places are in short supply.. so recently, i've been shorted by a couple different street dealers. I've also been sold bags cut (usually stuffed in the middle and pressed) with timothy hay and or other weird organic stuff.. but never sand, or little glass beads.. that's just ludicrous
