I dont understand how u guys afford to take this for years... $70+ a bottle that doesn't last very long... geez. I tried 1 bottle and noticed no effect and couldn't afford to keep using it :(
@hollybee43 That is too bad. According to the studies on Empowerplus, the average time that it takes someone to notice a reduction in symptoms is 3 weeks. The interesting thing is that by week 3 the average reduction in symptoms was 30%. 1 bottle of Empowerplus at loading dose would have only lasted you 2 weeks. It is like going on a weight loss program for 2 weeks and then calling it quits cause you didn't notice a difference in the mirror.
I've been using this supplement for over 5 years now...it does truely work for me. Please give this a try if you suffer with Bipolar disorder. I've was hospitalized seven different times and have several relatives with mental illness. I'm trying to spread the word. As so many people are unaware that this supplement (EMPOWERPLUS) does make you feel healthy and normal. It is truely a miracle..Thank you Truehope..you have saved me from years of unhappiness.
@TheDebharper Type one or type 2? were u hospitalized for psychosis/mania or depression? what meds were you on before EMP? Also im sceptical if it will treat type one, the more extreme version of bipolar. But im at the end of my rope... I think many 'bipolars' suffer from type 2 and have no idea what delusional mania is like and how destructive it is to ur life. Anyway, EMP sounds hopeful....
I hope this really works. I am so desperate to find something for someone I love whose life is being shattered by a disease. He will not go anywhere near psychotropics. God I hope this works for real and is not a scam!
I have been taking it for 18 months now. The protracted withdrawal lasted 7 months, but now I am feeling like never before. I have been able to go to school full time.
of course the CMHA says that there aren't enough clinical trials. but they are all in bed with each other. GOVT, pharmaceutical companies, and big organizations. WHERE do you think they get their funding from...???
Does anyone know if it works for anxiety disorders that accompany clinical depression. I have social anxiety and depression. Also can you get this in the UK? Any help would be appreciated.
@namordecai I have been using Zoloft for quite a while now and it is pretty good although my memory has suffered. I took Seroxat when I was a teenager which worked wonders for me but I decided not to go back onto it because I believe it helped trigger a brief and mild psychotic episode when I came off them. It also made me dizzy. I would love to try EMP if it is available in my country but the problem is I have to get on with my life and can't keep taking time out to try new things.
@Profound79 Sounds good. It's good to have a backup plan. I'm sure you'll keep EMP in mind. Also, it's possible to gradually transition from a med. to EMP and do okay, but it can be risky. If you ever change your mind, it's great. Also, thanks for the tip on nutrition.
@namordecai I totally believe that mental illness is due to extra nutritional needs or rather the fact that food nowadays provides little nutrition and has too many unwanted chemicals in. I am about to read a book on 'Gerson's Therapy' - a vegan diet that is supposed to prevent cancer and numerous other illnesses. I think that the diet it recommends will greatly improve my wellbeing. Might be worth you taking a look at it as well. You can buy it on Amazon.
These work..I've taken them for over 7 years now Before these vitamins nothing else worked for me and i had tried every single drug they had and was close to giving up until i saw these vitamins on Discovery Health Channel which really did give me my life back. You certainly cannot believe everything you see on youtube but if you have a central nervous system disorder like bipolar you owe it to yourself to give these an honest chance. I takes time for your body to respond to them so be patient.
@greggb777 I do think it stupid that the company cant fund their own double blind placebo trial that would withstand medical scrutiny. Im a registered nurse...many of the studies are pretty poor. But the testimonies suggest more research is needed, as long as it is on par with medical literature.
just got this today....

Yes it does. There are many testimonials and a few Youtube videos that state this.

@Profound79 I took EMP for social phobia. It's really effective. I see it's been a year, since you've posted this. Have you gotten treated?

I just started 6 days ago and it definitely does helps. I'm still skeptical though. I hope it keeps working.
