Brandi, if she lost weight she would be too thin for her build. Get yourself a BMI chart or something. Geez
Robyn, nice job. Thank you for posting your first attempts so that beginners will be more apt to try new things and not worry about not getting it perfectly right the first time. I think your video is great
You are kidding right? If that happen, they had damn well better reinstitute women's softball. Pole dancing is not sport. It is an exercise or an entertainment; not a competition. That is like saying putting Palates as an Olympic sport or rope climbing.
I didn't read through all the comments so forgive me if you've already answered this but why is it recommended to take the adjuster cover off for this move? Is it because the material is different? Becuase it's not 100% sturdy?
I've only tried it once on my x-pole but I didn't come close to the cover. Going to be practicing it again soon and it would be nice to avoid any mishaps.
@mediaphobia The adjuster cover on this model of X-Pole is only attached with the press-in beads. You should not use this part of the pole to take any weight. As the death-lay only uses the very top of the pole, you might find that the cover could come undone with all your weight on it.
to the haters..... actions speak louder than words. post your death lays!! I dont even have the guts to even begin to attemt this... amazing work for your first try!!!
the greatest majority have NOT even the blood to attempt this move and here we have a couple of clowns who most likely would find it difficult finding a bed to drop into, actually putting into words what only a morEon would purvey. perhaps they failed to appreciate the usefulness of their right hand when they passed their 10th whatever. on the other hand they could B but victims of xposure 2 the wrong musik that had forevewr compromised their innate wiring
i no it was your first try but when you go up get readyy faster like goo all the way to the top then start youll actually stay too the ceiling like your suppost too
Bubble you are too incredible to let those 2 losers get you down. I thought it was wonderful!! Especially for a 1st attempt. You didn't even need to dignify those dumb comments with a response. Everyone in the pole community knows how much of a pole goddess and great person that you are. We are all on your side :) You have actually inspired me to give this a try. Think I'll try it later in the week when my soreness goes down haha We love you Bubble!!! XOXOXO
bloody hell some folk are just so unhelpful and downright nasty. Bubble is one of the most talented polers in my opinion and kudos to her for trying such a difficult move. In my opinion if you think you know better offer encouragement and advice rather than offensive comments. Well done I say!
To Lala and brandi - 99% of the pole dancing community would recognise this move as a Death Lay. Fundamentally the trick is correct although, as stated, its not perfect as its a first attempt. I notice that neither of you have posted any pole videos; as such you are, in my opinion, ill-qualified to comment...
...If you wish to post your respective flawless Death Lay videos then feel free do so and prove the rest of us wrong. You have both been childish and ignorant in the tone of your remarks, and in future perhaps should keep your unhelpful views to yourselves. As for the 'lose weight' comment, I know Robyn personally and she has a fantastic figure - I'd like to see you rival her six-pack.
Uh no you stupid cow, she's got a great figure. Why would she want to look like a skeleton! Jealous are we? Why don't you post a picture of yourself so we can pick out i'm sure your many flaws. Get a life!
i agree with lala there are so many wannabe's out there posting terrible videos that misrepresent the actual trick don't call it a death lay when its not even close your sloppy and you can afford to lose some weight. much respect to pantara our pioneer in pole dancing
WAIT JUST ONE SECOND. This was my FIRST go at this move. Yes it's a bit messy. That's because it's my first ATTEMPT. Not sure what I'm supposed to call it other than "attempt at death lay".
Please show me YOUR first attempt at a death lay... then we'll talk.
If we're going for insults: You could afford to learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation so that you actually make sense.
@Robynbobbin Argh, i was trying to give a thumbs down to the girl above for the ditasteful insult at your weight. You don't need to lose any weight and good on you for the vid. I'd love to have that much control over my body, thumbs up. XO
come on then miss high and mighty...where's your video to show all us "wannabe's" what you can do??? I'm just dying to see how perfect your first attempt at this move was!
a wanna be!!!!?????? lol lots of girls wanna be her more like, she is an awesome dancer with a very toned body and six pack most men would be jealous of too!!! maybe u should take a further look at her videos before posting jealous comments! or maybe lay off the brandy ay????? it really just makes U look the wanna be im afraid......
Mmm..ok you are just plain RUDE! Lets see some of your amazing videos then. People have to learn tricks, you cant just do it overnight.. and this is a FIRST ATTEMPT! Read the description you idiot!
Haha....ooook, well actually, you ARE supposed to be at the very tip-top of the pole when you do this, it's one of the biggest factors that makes this move so goddamn dangerous and hard to do. Two, you are supposed to have your feet bracing you. And three...
WHY do you people with X-Poles try this move on that pole with that cover?! That's waaay scary to me.
GIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRL wtf is this shit??? This aint no dam death lay?? You supposed to be in the middle of the dam pole for one and for 2 you aint supposed to have your feet against the ceiling lol. You are an insult to us and if yo uare going to try it then do it on a practice pole with stacks. Good god
The woman who designed this move has her feet against the ceiling - she has done it numerous times infront of me! So give the girl a break... it was a first attempt... I would like to see yours!??? x
you obviously have a totally different idea of what a deathlay is to EVERYONE else here... but I don't suppose it occured to you that maybe you're wrong or know another move called by the same name (as is often the case in pole)
granted it is possible to practice this move initially lower down the pole with someone there to hold your feet in place of the ceiling but it should progress to being done up the pole
Not sure which type of deathlay that you're thinking of. It's AKA Lying On The Ceiling for a reason. The move REQUIRES your feet to be against the ceiling to counterbalance your upper body. Maybe you're thinking of a superman where your hand is on the pole, or the *cheaty* deathlay where you push your feet against your mate's hands.
I'm sorry, I think you must be deluding yourself. YOU are the insult. Who the fuck are you anyway and where is your video of your ever so perfect death-lay? Twat.
0:35 looks pretty darn close!!! I know what you mean with that damn dome and screw insert that sticks out.........I never got that far with practicing it anyhow, and I cannot practice it on my freestanding pole now anyhow. I wish I could give it a go again since I have gotten better. You have a superb profile missy! I think you looked great!!
same here, i have my vid of my first and second tries of climbing up and doing either the shouldermount or invert to get into it. Then playing around one day, i did the shouldermount from the floor (with heels) and got closer than i ever had before climbing. My ceiling sucks, only 7ft, 4in. Great vid, keep up the great work. And try this one again after you get comfy with the shouldermount..!
Second attempt looked like the keeper! Very graceful, long, and straight! Pretty soon, you'll have to start explaining footprints on the ceiling when guests come to the house, LOL! By the way, thanks for your nice comments on my pole project vids. I clicked on your channel and I 'm looking forward to catching up on your previous posts!

Lala lives in her own little world I think! What a VERY supportive comment!
If it's okay for Pantera to have her feet on the ceiling (wonder how you would support yourself if you didn't!) then it's okay for us!
