Gravel is not a libertarian. I agree with Gravel on foreign policy, but most of his views (socialized medicine, progressive income tax, carbon tax, etc.) run contrary to core values of the Libertarian party.
the libertarian party is all about having the least amount of government as possible. Mike Gravel's National Initiative is purely libertarian because it will give us the people amazing control, and politician minimal control! that is the only way we can fight the military industrial complex, for true change we cant depend one single individual, we have to rely on ourselves as well and thats exactly what Mike Gravel is trying to accomplish!
Revolution #2. *lol* Mike Gravel lost all my support! In mid-march he endorsed Jesse Johnson of the Green party and 11 days later he switched to the libertarian side. Huh?! What the hell is going on? I tell you what is going on. Mike Gravel is trying to grab a piece of a revolution that he did not create but pretending to be a libertarian. That's being a thief - laying a claim to that which is not his. All the fantastic people who support Ron Paul won't fall for that scam!!!
The only reason he went libertarian was so that he could get on the ballot and have a chance. He realizes half his views do not line up with the libertarian views at all, but he doesn't think it matters. He's hoping libertarian voters will over looks that.
For those who say Gravel is not a libertarian... how about you research what that word actually means?...

He'd be a better fit for the Green party.
