Well, usually they woudl crack where they are narrow, which is near the top. There is nowhere for the pole to fall as it'll be too long to fit inside. If it breaks in the center or something, the top is still tied into the top with the rest, so it would just be leaning in. The poles aren't heavy enough to kill you!
I wish I had a tipi!! I think I would put chicken wire around the sides and the grow some vining plant up that. Would make a really neat summertime hang out!
Hi Nancy this is fantastic! tomorrow I am going into the swedish forest here to sleep in my hammock and might make a structure like yours it has to be temporary tho so i'll have to take it down after. But I did enjoy seeing your Tipi - thanks JB
I see the grass is growing in my tipi now. But the water is still in there, too. I'd better go down there today or I'll miss one of the last bugfree days!
You are very sweet and your teepee is very cozy! I'm impressed that you did all of this by yourself! It looks like something I'd do. You should post another video of it when it gets to be warmer and then we can all see the leaves and grass. I can imagine you out there in your hammock, sipping iced tea!

Hi Carrie, welcome to my life! I took the tarp off in the spring and hope to weave the walls with alder branches! Wish me luck.
