I did enter the castle grounds but there really isn't anything to see, nothing historical anyway. Okay, there's a big museum housing lots of historical stuff, but didn't go in.
If you are meaning 'castle' as in 'tower', even back in the Edo period there never was one at this particular castle.
Great video, which made me nostalgic and happy. Actually, Kagoshima is my home town.
Although I live in Kanto area now. It's great you know Saigo Takamori!

I could not remember that there was a castle in Kagoshima, but once I saw that street I remembered.
